PRISON GUARD'S SLAYING RIPS LID OFF CORRUPT PRISON; GUEST STAR CHRISTOPHER NOTH REPRISES 'LAW & ORDER' ROLE -- The murder of a corrections officer points the Major Case squad toward a corrupt Brooklyn prison where unaccounted-for prisoners are secretly abused by guards -- and the key to exposing the ring lies with a prison nurse whose boyfriend is the maverick Detective Mike Logan (Christopher Noth, NBC's "Law & Order"). As Logan warily aids Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) in their probe, they discover an unseemly political connection and ultimately must jeopardize their lives inside the forboding walls. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star.

I noticed this NBC Media Village announcement posted on another fan board. CI is on an hour earlier because there will be a 2-hour "Saturday Night Live" special following the episode:
SEX CLUB February 20, 2005 @ 8PM Eastern
PLAYBOY'S 'LITTLE BLACK BOOK' COULD KILL BOTH CAREERS AND PEOPLE; ROSANNA ARQUETTE AND PETER BOGDANOVICH GUEST-STAR -- When the "little black book" of an infamous hedonistic playboy (guest star Peter Bogdanovich) is purchased at auction, the new owner is found murdered and the book stolen -- prompting Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) to consider a U.S. Senatorial candidate (guest star Matt Servitto) whose marital indiscretions are documented in the tome and could provide embarrassing fodder for his rivals. The detectives must tweak their theory when the extortionist responsible for the original crimes turns up with two bullet holes in his back. Rosanna Arquette ("Pulp Fiction") guest-stars as the candidate's wife. Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance also star. TV-14

Bogdanavich is interesting casting. People might recall that he was involved with Dorothy Stratton, the Playboy Playmate who was murdered by her ex-lover, ex-manager. The film STAR 80, directed by Bob Fosse and starring Mariel Hemingway as Stratton, Eric Roberts (in a brilliant and scary performance) as her murderer, and Cliff Robertson as Hugh Hefner, was a dramatic retelling of this.
I find the casting of the LOCI guest stars fascinating--the roles frequently cast back to episodes or performances of the actors' past. One of my favorites is the casting of Dennis Christopher and Paul Dooley in CHERRY RED as father and son, roles they played in the film BREAKING AWAY, although a much healthier relationship in that film.

Dennis Christopher, I believe was in the series PROFILER as Jack of all Trades, wasn't he? I know the actor by face, but when you put those two names up together Pat, i got a little iffy on who belonged with who. I've seen the clip of CHERRY RED and recognized the former "Jack of all Trades", pretty sure thats Christopher.
Yea, the casting is great on CI. They seem to find the most appropriate people to play the juciest parts.
Oh man, I miss Mike Logan, can't wait for STRESS POSITION! Thanks for posting the update on shows Nikki!

Wow! I'm very excited about Mike Logan's return; I always loved that character!
I wonder how he and Bobby will get along. They have very different approaches towards crime-solving...

I'm with you twilight. Can't wait to see Logan again. I wonder if he's still a hot head?! From the pictures, we know he still wears the same old plaid ties.

Hmm...
For some reason, my brower won't let me see close-ups of the pictures!
It keeps asking for authorization or something and rejects my password!
Alas. But I suppose I'll take your word on Logan's ties, hee. ^_^
And I hope he's still a hothead. That's part of what made him so much fun to watch! (Although I do suppose he's gotten older.) Also, I wonder what job they'll have him doing --- I mean, didn't he get demoted to Staten Island or something after punching some official back in the 5th season of L&O?

Grr!
That is to say...
...my computer's not opening the page for some reason, but I'm going to try again. Thanks for the link anyway! ^_^
