Is it my imagination, or is this a record early start for CI reruns? Could it be NBC doesn't want to put a new Season 6 episode up against the World Series on FOX, or is it a scheduling rearrangement to allow the Thanksgiving episode to be shown during the holiday week, or a little bit of both?
Per nbcumv: Tuesday October 24 @ 9PM ET......."Acts of Contrition"

Yep on both counts, baseball and turkeyday is good enough reason for me to put a rerun on

I think most of the shows are going to repeats, possibly due to baseball and the upcoming November sweeps period. What? No mention of Rip Torn as a guest star for "Bedfellows"? Either he was overlooked in the NBC plot summary or the reference I posted earlier has it wrong.,. nbcumv.com has updated the episode information for "BEDFELLOWS": MURDERED BROTHERS FROM A WEALTHY FAMILY HAVE DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING A POSSIBLE INSIDE JOB-- The Copeland brothers are nothing alike -- Adlai is a successful, true gentleman and their father Jules' favorite (guest star Rip Torn), while Ted is irresponsible and difficult. So when Detectives Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Eames (Kathryn Erbe) find a poisoned Adlai with his wife still clinging to his corpse, they suspect it wasn't an accident. But when Ted also turns up dead after the Detectives find he forged documents, they begin to take a closer look inside the family. Eric Bogosian and Theresa Randle also star. .

Here is a little more info. on the Liza Minnelli episode. ******************************************* A trannylicious-looking Liza Minnelli will star in Law & Order: Criminal Intent - airing Tuesday, October 31st - as "Debbie Harner", a former beauty queen whose daughter, an aspiring beauty queen, is found murdered on Halloween night. Not sure if it is a G/E epie OR a L/W one though

Thanks Techguy ;D!!
I should have credited the sites too - OOPS LOL!! ;D
This one looks very COOL.
But does that mean I have to wait a whole month for a new Logan/Wheeler epie - EEEEKKKK - I don't know if I can last that long!

It is a bit odd, the lineup for G/E and L/W episodes. The next new CI will be "Bedfellows" on 10/17 for G/E, the following week 10/24 there will be a rerun of "Acts of Contrition," so I was expecting a L/W episode on 10/31. If the new episodes are being alternated equally between the two detective teams, I don't understand putting another G/E episode on 10/31.

Mikeyrocks, check out the Articles & Interviews board. Vdofan1 posted an article from TVGuide that says we're going to get 22 episodes this season, not the 18 that was rumored.

I think the reason for not alternating the G/E and L/W episodes is one of timing. I think when they started planning out the season and started shooting in July that they had no idea that NBC would elect not to go up against baseball. It states in the article posted by JennCho on Reelblog that Liza is playing a Patsy Ramsey-like character who is an ex-beauty queen whose daughter is killed on Halloween. It is a Halloween themed episode. Hence the showing on Halloween.
Hmm, Halloween and Thanksgiving themed episodes, can there be a Crismakkah Holiday one in the making as well? Will that be mum's second but non-speaking appearance?
Techguy -- thanks for bringing to our attention the article on the other sub board that we are getting 22 episodes Yee Haw! Doing the happy dance. Mikeyrocks -- thanks for asking the question.

I think there's still a strong sense that Goren and Eames are the "A" team--which is unfair to Logan and Wheeler. But it does seem that G/E get the better scripts and are slated for when the ratings matter.
I'll be interested to see what happens with BEDFELLOWS. With its apparent theme of brotherly rivalry, it could be used to pour salt in Goren's wounds. Or, as is the case with many good LOCI episodes, Goren will use his background to help solve the crime with little angst. I think BEDFELLOWS may tell us just how much grief the creators intend to put Goren through this season.
