I have no idea where to put this thread so I'm putting it here! And no, I'm not going to pick on Miss Olivia about her role on CI!!! This post is about her website I found! www.oliviadabo.net I happened upon her website while internet binging about CI. She has a lovely website, with photos and lots of other stuff. I just learned she sings and has a cd out. I tried to listen to the cd but it wouldn't let me! She has the lyrics to cd up as well, which she wrote herself, so I settled for reading them instead. Nice lyrics!!! After reading the lyrics, I decided to buy the cd but I cannot find an order form. Damn it!!! *scratches head* Anyway, her site was fun to roam through because I know nothing about her. LOL!! CI is mentioned in one of her diary entries: These last few years have been a gas and a challenge, between music and playing a seriously wicked character on "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" where I've got to tap into my dark side and play a psychopath. The country voted me back on the show to live...I would have killed her ! But I guess someone has to scrutinize Vincent D'Onofrio in a cat and mouse game, everyone loves a good villain.www.oliviadabo.net/diary/I found myself grinning like a loon and then howling with laughter after reading this! I always appreciate a sense of humor and the girl has it! ;D She's supposed to record a greeting for her fans and out it on the site soon. I think that's pretty cool. It was really nice to find her site- I can "get to know" Olivia the person and help shake that Nicole Wallace image I've stuck her with out of my head. hehehehe NM- who is off to go internet binge the other CI people she knows nothing about! ETA: I finally was able to hear some of the cd! She has a pleasant voice.

I really admire her as an actress and a musician. She's wicked on the cello!

I hate to admit, Olivia has a great voice, and I love her character, the way she keeps tormenting Goren, every time she and Goren mentioned each other's names!

Loose Lips The Odd Couple's Olivia d'Abo makes her own kind of music, and Ivan Hernandez plays doctor in La Jolla. By: Brian Scott Lipton
Olivia D'Abo ODD WOMAN OUT Making one's Broadway debut is a heady experience, but even more so for Olivia d'Abo, who plays Gwendolyn Pigeon in the revival of The Odd Couple. "It's been a never-ending journey," says d'Abo. "We're still finding spontaneity in moments that one would think were set in stone, and we've gotten so much enthusiasm from the audiences who've come since the show's extension last month. Since they've been waiting six months to see it; you sense they really want to be there. With some of the earlier audiences, you felt like they were just sitting back and waiting to see what they were getting for their money." When the show closes next month, she will miss her castmates -- especially Jessica Stone, who plays her sister, Cecily. "We really have become sisters," says d'Abo. "We've even picked each up each other's mannerisms. But we're also quite different, much like Nathan [Lane] and Matthew [Broderick], which is what makes our chemistry so special. When we come on, I always feel the audience is happy to see that there are women in the play -- that it's not just about guys smoking cigars and eating bad sandwiches."
Soon, d'Abo will be heavily involved in promoting her new CD, Turku, which features songs that she wrote herself. "It's an assembly of all my musical influences -- sort of Brit rock meets folk meet techno," says the singer-actress, who is the daughter of former Manfred Mann lead singer Mike d'Abo and model-actress Maggie London d'Abo. "Turku is an old city in Finland where my family is from; I went to visit it about five years ago." She worked closely on the album with her husband, Patrick Leonard, a frequent collaborator of Madonna. "He really kicked my tuchas in making the songs better," says Mrs. Leonard, "but he's right. Artists are constantly pushing themselves, and there's always a deeper place to go."
I'm ambivalent about her character, but Ms.D'Abo appears to be an ok person.

I have to say that she's a really good acttress. Even though I hate Nicole Wallace, almost holding a personal grudge against her, but that's only because Olivia is a good actor. If she wasn't good with acting, I probably wouldn't even begin to hate Nicole as a character. Learning about the actress somewhat softens my deep hatred towards Nicole, but still, not an excuse for that psycho to come back and kill again. UGH!

Some Olivia news: Olivia was spotted outside the Vogue Magazine offices holding an anti-fur sign. Notes and photo: blog.peta.org/archives/olivia_dabo/And tonight, I was watching "Growing Pains" and a familiar face turned up. I could swear she looked like Olivia. I looked up the episode and sure enough, it WAS Olivia! A 16 year Olivia. Too funny. Anyone see her too?

I have been listening to Olivia's music for a while now. I love it to death!! She is very talented. I don't hate her because of her role on CI... she made the show quite fun to watch, of course I like heaping teaspoons of angst with my tea, thank you very much

Happy Birthday to Ms. d'Abo--who portrays the woman we love to hate so well. She will turn 40 tomorrow (January 22).

Scuttlebutt: Season 8 G/E episode headed for production -- "Playing Dead" -- marks the return of Ms. D'Abo and her nefarious character to CI. Only a rumor but a juicy one. I hope it's true.

I suppose Nicole could have had someone hack into the DNA database so it only appeared that it was her heart... but that WOULD be awfully soap-operaish. Much as I enjoyed the play between Nicole and Bobby, I'm thinking they need to keep her dead and gone.
But maybe, flashbacks?

I hope they don't take that road. Everybody know that soap can make the floor quite slippery... if I may speak figureatively.
