DAMN!!

I missed The War at Home when it first aired (first time I’ve missed a Goren/Eames episode since the start of season 2), but I was confident I would catch it on the USA repeat. I don’t have a chance to read the board as often as I would like, and I clearly don’t check this thread as often as I should. I was clueless on Wednesday, then went ahead and taped last night, since I couldn’t be home to watch it. What I taped was House! Normally I enjoy House, but this time I was bitterly disappointed to see it.

Help me out, here, Techguy. Do you know what they’ll be showing over the holidays? Do I have a chance of seeing this episode before the summer re-runs?

It’s particularly frustrating, since this is the ep that has people talking about the writers not keeping Goren, or even Eames, in character. That’s exactly what I was worried about when I heard that Balcer was leaving. I didn’t know I should have been worried about stalker-cam, etc., as well... but I knew that Balcer was the architect of those characters, and the one who had the final word on each script. He was the one who kept them so completely consistent year after year... it’s making me crazy not being able to see this episode that may... or may not? (I can still hope...) ...be the transition between the characters we love and characters who are supposed to be Goren and Eames, but aren’t.

Observer, the only episodes NBC has scheduled for Tuesday nights in December are reruns--"Proud Flesh" on 12/5 and "Tru Love" on 12/12. Based on past history, I'm guessing there won't be any new CI episodes until after the holidays. However, NBC is also notorious for last minute schedule changes, and USA ends up modifying its schedule to follow. Unfortunately, I can't predict when or if TWAH will be rerun again.

Observer: PM me if you want a video copy of the episode. I have it taped on my dvr and can copy to video from there, how cool is that!!! Pays to be old-fashioned and still even own a VCR. P.S. Glad to see you're still around, I'm just coming back after being off-line for such a looong time!

NBC hasn't announced its schedule for the only other Tuesday night before Christmas on 12/19. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt there will be any new CI on that date, Goren or Logan, so close to Christmas as holiday specials, movies or reruns would be the most likely programming based on what NBC has done in the past. I remember the bad old days of a month long drought without new CI episodes in December. However, CI was on Sunday nights before, and this is its first season on Tuesday. NBC could surprise us although I still think it unlikely we'll get a new CI before the New Year. Unless someone else beats me to it, I'll post the schedule as soon as it's up on nbcumv.
