I read this rumor as well, on the USA message board. Yet nothing is mentioned on any of the official sites. Hopefully you can find out the real deal, Techguy!

Didn't Fin put in for a transfer? The most recent episode I have seen had Fin and Stabler at odds and Munch stuck a piece of paper in Stabler's face and I thought he said it was Fin's transfer request.

If Fin transfers out & they throw Adam Beach in jail, that must make room for a new team of Detectives. Or Munch gets partnered up with someone new.

--The episode is framed by Chester Lake pursuing, hounding, and eventually killing a cop rapist/murderer. It's his first case; it's cold now, and he has held on to it for all these years, hanging out with the Vidoc society and some redheaded detective or something.

Presumably, the bloodbath at the end means he has lost faith in the ability of the system to punish rapists and murderers.

--Is likewise framed by the trials and tribs of one Casey Novak. "How do you sleep at night?" hotshot trying to woo her to his practice asks. "I don't." Later she'll delay and misrepresent evidence in the trial of Lake's quarry such that Judith Light yells at her; she is being called before the bar; faced with possible suspension (setting up Neal's departure, presumably).

--Stabler tangles with Fin over how the case is being treated (I forget why, exactly).

--Lake abducts the remaining witness to the cold rape/murder. It is discovered that one of the rapist/murder's old work buddies (do I have that right?) is on the team trying to get Lake, but he is stopped before he pulls the trigger or ... something.

--Fin yells at Stabler, calling him a bulldog and a good cop but a lousy human being.

--Mariska? Cragen? Dunno. They were in there somewhere. Vague drama about how we can't question Chester until 48 hours after the shooting or ... something ... because he is a cop.

... oh, you meant about the case itself?! I don't know. I tried. SVU brings out my most ADHD tendencies, I'm afraid. Maybe someone else can fill in the blanks!

Coming in at the end and seeing all that back and forth between Stabler and Munch/Fin then seeing Casey get kicked and Lake hauled off in cuffs, well now I know why I stick to LOCI.

Also CI was suppose to have a crossover with the French version too, and that never happened.

- Yes. That's why I said...what about him? He's been on the show since season 2.

- Really? I've decided to not put stock into anything I hear until I actually see it on screen. I've read lots of stuff that was supposed to happen (and I don't mean just CI) that never did. SO....that's also one of the reasons why I stay away from certain forums, threads and mags.)
