I agree that Bishop served a purpose, and I'm glad she came off the way she did. I didn't want to get attached to her. Thinking back on those episodes, they were good, but I was just wondering how they would have played out had they been written for Eames. (FPS probably wouldn't have worked.)

If anything I think Bishop butted heads with Eames. I think there was a line where she asks to tag along and Eames says "Sure if you want to carry me up the stairs." (cannot remember the ep.)
I think she did a really great job as Bishop, in fact there was a time I was hoping she would take over for Eames! That time has now passed. I did like her and would indeed rather see her replace Logan's partner!!

I agree almost entirely, I wouldn't mind if she was a permanent replacement. She's smart but she stays out of the way and lets Goren do his thing, more feminine than Eames. I really enjoy those episodes too and I think the one you are talking about is "A Murderer among US". I saw Eames as supportive, not snarky.

Oh no, Katie, you just gave me a horrible thought ... what if D'Onofrio doesn't sign on and Buck replaces HIM. No, no, no. That can never happen. To keep the show's focus on forensic psychology, we would need another 'tec with highly evolved skills in this area. Bishop does NOT fit that profile. No! perish the thought! If they DO decide to replace VDO (god forbid  ) I would like to see a woman replace him (just not Bishop). A female version of Bobby would be fun & it would be interesting to see how Eames deals with yet another 'acquired taste'. LOL |

we are only showing S3 now in the U.K. and i have only noticed somebody different acouple of weeks ago now knowing that it is Samantha Buck i take that she is just replacing Eames for awhile, while she leaves to have her baby  |

Good for her, i liked Sam in CI, same as Alicia. They got a rough deal filling in on CI, but both are doing well anyway  |
