Courtney B. Vance: After LOCI guest spot?

He has played good guys and bad guys on the original L&O. Does anyone have a preference of where they would like to see this versatile actor guest star?

Like Jamey Sheridan, I think he would be great on "24" or "Without A Trace" or even "Lost" or "Numbers"

I know this probably has been asked but... How was his character written out? I know how Deakins left but from what I've seen...Carver just disappeared. And what was the reason why he left?

His character wasn't written out, he just didn't appear in season 6.

- do you know what happened with the actor? did his contract run out and decided not to renew? Or did the exes decided they didnt need a laywer on the show anymore? <--which I did read they hired some woman as CI's new lawyer but she only stayed one day, then i heard they hired some other woman..but I haven't heard anything else about it.

"It turns out Angela Bassett's new doctor character on "ER" is married, and her husband will be played by Bassett's real-life mate.

Courtney B. Vance has agreed to a multiepisode guest star stint as the partner of Bassett's Cate Banfield, an attending physician just back from doing tsunami relief work in Indonesia. It's the couple's first time acting together.

Vance, whose film credits include "The Preacher's Wife" and "The Hunt for Red October," spent five years on NBC's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."

"ER" begins its 15th and final season Sept. 25."
