Terry Randolph is a nasty piece of work. Ruthless, determined, intelligent, wonderfully played by Viola Davis. How does she rank among the LOCI villains?
I feel kinda sorry for her, but then don't, she did it for her kids, but then Killed kids to do it.
Does the police culture allow Randolph and her cronies to survive? Does it create them?
well even in this day we find cops who over use their power, so even after in other jobs that could carry over
Would Randolph and her gang gotten away with the Sherwood murders if Goren and Eames weren't on the case?maybe not, I am sure their are good detectives out there, Monk, The Closer, lol they would have figured it out
Deakins is in a very difficult situation in the case. Comments? He didn't like the idea of going after cops, but knew he had no choice when Goren presented all the evidence
Would Randolph have been a good officer if she hadn't become so bitter? Was she evil, or did she become evil because of being passed over?I think there must have been a reason she was passed over not just because she was a woman, so underlining she must have had some evil in her to make her kill innocent children,
Legrand's suicide--Did he have help getting the gun?I am sure the police were lax around him, probably giving him opportunity
Was Randolph turned down for detective for other reasons than her gender? After all, both Van Buren and Eames moved up the ladder.as I said before I think so, seems she was brutal to suspects," beat down homeboys"
Where's the father of Randolph's children?we weren't told, maybe dead, deadbeat,
Does Randolph's mother know what's going on?denial, how could she not know where the extra money was coming from, or she just didn't question
How well does Randolph read Goren? How well does he read her?
I think she was probably pretty close, but I think most of his money and time was going to his mother, and I think he read her well
How does Eames react to cops being involved in this case?I don't find she reacted surprised, she is well informed of cop culture
Would Randolph and her gang gone after Goren and Eames?
I don't think so, they were already undersuspicious, that would have been crazy
How's Goren and Eames "good cop-bad cop" routine work?
It helped Randolph feel she had a woman friend in Eames, since they figured that's what Randolph felt why she was left behind
Goren's last statement about Randolph's ability to apparently love her own children and yet kill children is, for me, the haunting center of this story. How can a human do that?
to me thats what makes her evil, to beable to disassociate like that, I don't understand how a seemily loving mother, could kill innocent children
