(1) I saw Sam Waterston on Face the Nation last night. He came across as more articulate than I have sometimes seen him (eg., Jeopardy). As a Canadian expat, I'm not commenting on the content. But he said "the system itself for choosing our leaders is broken" and that "[t]he people in an online convention will decide who the candidate's going to be" and that Bloomberg's a likely candidate. (sidebar: For all you avid followers of the Paris Hilton controversy, Bob Schieffer delivered a very funny rant about why she wasn't appearing on Face the Nation. Here's a link to the text: www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/24/opinion/schieffer/main2971817.shtml You can also use their player to see that clip, which is much funnier than reading the text, and also the Waterston interview.) (2) There's a little interview with S. Epatha Merkerson in the current TV guide also, where among other things she says that if she'd known L &O would run for so long she'd have bought out half of Manhattan. Me, I'm still stuck on the SNL Waterston story and impersonation *g*
