I thought we had a thread on this; but I can't find it - if there is; please delet this and bring the other to my attention.
Someone is looking for a link I KNOW we discussed - as to where to buy a legitimate copy of this movie.
They also want links/ways to buy legit versions of GUY, Household Saints, Naked Tango .... they are interested so as to give royalties where royalties are due - any help with this I will pass on.
thanks

I know there was discussion long ago - where Pelham was available. Yeah, but Ebay is tricky as far as quality and misleading goes. GUY offered there is a copy from a copy & the seller must be laughing as she rakes in the $$ from fans.

That was taken down by ebay and now i think the same person has put it up again. The "Household Saints" is origanal and "Naked Tango" they have the origanal covers, but they will probobly sell for quite alot.

HOUSEHOLD SAINTS is out of print. I got my copy on Ebay. It sometimes comes on half.com also.
NAKED TANGO is now out of print in the UK as well as the US so you have to go to EBAY. Caveat emptor - someone is selling DVD's which are NOT ORIGINAL, they are conversions.
I'm trying to buy a copy of Pelham from Germany via Ebay - I'll let you know if it is successful.
Through my part time job I had reason to contact Kirby Dick, the screenwriter for GUY. I also emailed him about trying to obtain GUY - no answer yet.
If the mods want separate threads for these films I can post in each.

Those movies "Naked Tango" anf "Household Saints" are origanal covers showing on Ebay, but "Guy" isnt . I think the last time somebody got an origanal copy of "Guy" was from Germany, plus my friend bought the DVD "origanal" from Ebay ages ago for quite alot. Katie

Yah, thanks: but this is not helping me for this task. I also have all of them, even have "honest citizen" so it was not a matter of finding them.
I wasn't talking about Ebay - this person is getting ready to distribute these items to fellow fans & I was trying to find legit places for them to purchase instead of home-copy & give out. At least this person was willing to wait to get links to places to buy - so if you read this forum, you know who you are & thanks.
Seems a bust - too bad, someone at the companies should have seen Mr. D'Onofrio's star rising and suggested a second/limited release.

I think that might happen faster than you think. I bought most of mine from Amazon very early thank goodness, plus we have alot of his films on TV here.

HOUSEHOLD SAINTS is out of print. I got my copy on Ebay. It sometimes comes on half.com also. I purchased a copy a few years ago from Videoflicks.ca. They don't have any in stock at the moment. But, they have a department where if you leave your email address, they'll do a search for you and advice you when a copy is found. However, Amazon.com presently has 10 copies available. They're not new and the prices start at $22.

I got my (used) copy of Household Saints from a seller via Amazon. It wasn't very expensive and the quality is fine for a used copy. It's in one of those cases you used to commonly see in video rental stores.

Honest Citizen? Good lord, Metella, there must be a story behind that! I knew you were good, but now I’m really impressed. I’ve never found the first trace of a copy anywhere!
Yeah, Cassie, it’s a movie, called, “It Don’t Pay to be an Honest Citizen.” But as far as I ever figured out, it was never released in any general way. The references to it that I’ve found say it was an NYU student film. The dates given for it vary from ’83 to ’85. The different dates may have to do with production dates vs when it was shown, judged, or whatever – or some may just be wrong, because it’s hard to even get any information on this one. But Metella has it? Or has at least seen it. Wow. Metella must be a fan of exceptionally pure heart, because clearly the Universe has smiled upon her!

No i just wrote a couple of words in my first post, then realised what you were saying and thought it might spoil it. I have a copy of "It Dont Pay' its very borring to watch, but Vincent `s work was why i wanted it. It is amateurish but worth a watch to see him in his early years. Some people actually said he wasnt in it, and another person said he told a group in chat that he was never in the film, but it clearly is him and his name at the start of the movie. Katie PS check your pm Metella.

Got it Katie - thanks for the clear up; now I know my eyes still work. Observer - he he he I put out mondo effort for that one. Yes, it is CLEARLY Mr. D'Onofrio; his voice is clearly out there for us and my copy is not that fuzzy. Yes, is not a big firm film by any means; but it has a flavor of a 70's woody allen wanna be - not really that bad if you are an older person and used to watch movies in the 70's as they were new releases. It doens't hold any flavor to our Computer enhanced; MTV flavored stuff of today, but for its time, it held its own ---- as a prof I would have given it an A.
