There was a report on the CBS affiliate in Chicago, Channel 5, about filming of THE BREAK-UP in connection with a bill authorizing tax breaks for filming in Chicago and Illinois. The clip showed Mr. D'Onofrio, looking good in a brown suit, short hair, and a beard, although no interviews with him.
I'm lousy at providing computer links, but perhaps someone with more knowledge...

I'm afraid that I don't have the clip you mentioned, Patcat, but I did find a link for the trailer to The Break Up. I didn't see Mr. D'Onofrio in it, but I figured I should post it anyway. Enjoy! movies.aol.com/movie/main.adp?mid=22037

Here's the movie's website, too: thebreakupmovie.net/You know, I couldn't find any reference to Vincent D'Onofrio on the site. Anyone have any idea as to how large of a role he is supposed to have? Or is it just a cameo? Granted, the names the site does have listed are all pretty well known, but still... Personally, I'm hoping that Mr. D'Onofrio plays Vince Vaughn's character's brother or cousin. That's a role I think the two of them could have fun with. They certainly have enough physical similarities for it to be believable. I really hope that Mr. D'Onofrio's character isn't one of Jennifer Aniston's character's boyfriends, because then I suspect I'll be having Mr. Wonderful flashbacks for days...

Reports I've seen indicate Mr. D'Onofrio plays the older brother of Vince Vaughn's character.

I think Vincent and Vince are friends in actuality, aren't they?

Reports I've seen indicate Mr. D'Onofrio plays the older brother of Vince Vaughn's character. I found the reports you were talking about, Patcat, thanks. Apparently, Cole Hauser is playing the youngest brother. Interesting casting. Sirenna, you asked if Vincent D'Onofrio and Vince Vaughn are friends, and I think you're right. Besides being in three movies together, I know I saw/read something in which Mr. D'Onofrio mentions that he and Mr. Vaughn are friends. I think he also said that people sometimes confuse the two of them and that they will be asked for the autographs of the other. Unfortunately, I must shamefully report that I can't remember where I saw/read this! I think that it was a DVD feature or commentary, but I can't be sure. I'm sure someone here must know. You know, Sherlock Holmes once said to Dr. Watson that, "...a man's brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose...it is a mistake to think that that little room has elastic walls and can distend to any extent. Depend upon it - there comes a time when for every addition of knowledge you forget something that you knew before. It is of the highest importance, therefore, not to have useless facts elbowing out the useful ones." I sometimes think that college is nothing more than paying a lot of money to interior decorators who have decided on their own what your little attic is going to look like. And lately, it seems as though they've found my stash of Vincent D'Onofrio and Criminal Intent trivia. Thank goodness for this board and its members! I'm beginning to think that there are few questions indeed that can't be answered here. At least, as far as the really important things go...

I know I read a story in which Mr. D'Onofrio and/or Mr. Vaughn said they occasionally sign each other's names for autographs.
Vaughn, by the way, is superb in THUMBSUCKER. He's a very good actor, something that I'm afraid can be lost in some of the very funny films he's made and his own talk show persona.

The story of Vince and Vincent confusion came from Vincent during his painfully shy Conan O'B appearance. He said his mom and wife (at the time) were coming out of the XFile movie and a person came up to Vincent thinking he was Vince. Vincent kept quiet, and signed the picture the person had Vince V. The person obviously never knew the difference. Hard to believe, I would not make that booboo.

contactmusic.comANISTON + VAUGHN MOVIE RESCHEDULEDJENNIFER ANISTON and VINCE VAUGHN will have to wait for their big BREAK-UP after movie bosses moved the release date of their new comedy. The couple, reportedly dating in real life, were due to open their new comedy in February (06), but studio executives at Universal have decided the film is so good it will compete with next year's (06) summer blockbusters. The Break-Up will now be released on 2 June (06), when it will compete with the top spot at the US box office with JACK BLACK's much-anticipated wrestling comedy NACHO LIBRE.

Argh! I wish I didn't see your last post, DNA! Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. I'm p.o.-ed at Universal for doing this!
I loved Jennifer Aniston in Friends and wanted to see this real bad. Then I found out not one but 2 of my favorite actors--Vince Vaughn and Vincent D'Onofrio(of course)--were also in it. I don't think I have enough patience to wait for summer...

You probably won't believe me, but people often confuse celebrities with other celebrities or even non-celebrities. I knew a guy who was a perfect Paul McCartney look-a-like and he was often asked for autographs. That poor guy couldn't even speak English properly. And German tennis player Mark-Kevin Goellner used to sign t-shirts showing Andre Agassi. And as for my humble person, I guess somehow mistakenly thought me to be Jessica Biel.

movie news mtv.comMovie FileLarry Carroll, with additional reporting by Corey MossWith intense performances in films like "The Salton Sea" and "Full Metal Jacket," Vincent D'Onofrio has constructed a reputation as a committed, no-nonsense actor's actor. But it was exactly that pigeonholing, he recently revealed, that made him want to work on "The Break Up," an upcoming comedy starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. "He asked me to come play his brother," D'Onofrio said of longtime friend Vaughn. "The movie is the story of a portion of Jennifer's and Vince's characters' lives. And so Vince called me, I went over, and I did it. I was over there for a week and had a blast doing it." The movie, due to hit theaters in June, tells the story of a broken-up couple engaged in a bitter battle for the rights to their apartment. "Obviously, Vince is funny," D'Onofrio offered. "It's great working for a guy who you know is gonna pull it off." ...

So it sounds like his part isnt huge, but I'm ok with that cuz I would go see it regardless, I love Vince Vaughn and adding Vincent as his brother is an added treat to what sounds like a pretty funny movie.
