I saw this posted first at the Major Case website, where's there's a great photo of Ms. Erbe and her dog.

The Reel site has a link to a video and a lovely photo of Ms. Erbe, her dog, and the Muttigrees mascot.
I think Mr. D'Onofrio's daughter's name is Leah and Ms. Erbe's dog's name is Lilah, but I could be wrong.
Patcat (you know, this may be a sign that I'm just a little obsessive...and I would like to point out that my cat, Maggie, is a mutt)

For what it's worth, wikipedia lists his daughter as "Leila George", but that could be wrong. Also, we don't know who named KE's dog, but it could've been her kids and therefore really just some funny coincidence.
My two cats are mutts, too - my dogs aren't. Yet I have to say that we bought them from very responsible breeders, who've become part of the family, and who would take the dogs back if we couldn't keep them (that's even in the puppy buyer contract).
One day, when I have my life settled with job/family, then I want to add a shelter dog to my pack. ;D

I was skimming through my local paper today, and there was a full one page ad announcing that Kate Erbe was going to be at the North Shore Animal League this Thursday, March 12th.
Get this. The NSAL is in Port Washington, Nassau County, Long Island - a mere 45 minutes travel time from my home!!! Problem is, she's there at 11:00am. On a weekday/workday.
It's too far for me to cut out & see her & go back to work. I can't take the day off, because my boss' mother just passed away and she's still very sad & I can't leave her alone to do everything. Shoot.
Anyone else live in the New York City/Long Island area?

I am in NYC but I just had knee surgery Friday, so I can't make the travel out there yet. I plan on seeing her on April 25th at the party in Manhattan.

this is realy cool and very nice to read. it also is what distinguishes kathryn from so many other celeberties who seem to do things to enhance thier own egos and for personal publicity instead of real care.
