Mr. D'Onofrio makes so few appearances or statements about anything that I wouldn't take his silence as meaning anything.

I'm pretty happy that he rarely makes public statements. I get irritated with all the sanctimonious pronouncements from Hollyweird, and turn I them off as fast as I can.

I don't think the actor's get paid for Public Service Announcements or do they? I think it's just one of his things, causes he believes in.

DoctorJ, my response about the reasons for Mr. D'Onofrio's silence is the same as the other posters.
I don't think celebrities or anyone else who appears in PSAs are paid. I think individuals who believe in the cause behind the PSA are approached by the producers of the PSA. For example, Michael J. Fox is understandably on the forefront of Parkinson's disease research and appears in their PSAs because he has a personal stake in the cause.

Thanks for posting this. It's what i've always thought about him that he's a pretty basic kind of guy.
