How fascinating. The highly idiosyncractic manner in which Goldblum speaks and moves is as interesting as what he has to say. (I've had little exposure to him up until now.)
Also: Very deft and politic embrace of the CI series and his new colleagues, especially VDO.
Thanks for posting J-Fan.

How fascinating Jeff is to listen to! He is so open and eager to give of himself to the interviewer.
I love his description of Goren.....not to mention the respect he has for VDO and for Chris Noth. Still.....he wasn't able to really describe how his character solves crimes. Something about "not thinking?" When this interview was taped, I suppose Nichols was still in the works.
I can't wait to see Nichols & Ross interact with each other. They were partners for six years? That's a very long time. I'm sure this new relationship will sometimes be difficult for them. Like it would be for Goren if Eames was promoted to his Captain.

You're very welcome, Jeffan I noticed that, too! I wonder how much of it will translate to Nichols. And boy, does he have large hands!! I was very touched by how he seemed to embrace CI, especially CN. I thought that was important, and maybe I'm overthinking, but could it be that he implied that Nichols is not as dissimiliar to Logan as we might think? I mean in a strictly good way... I again go away thinking that Nichols will be the very "observant" type of detective. Not that Nichols won't say much or won't be present, but if he's "not thinking", I get the sense that he's just letting things have their "effect" and then decide. And that Ross dynamic should be absolutely interesting, adding to three characters - Nichols and Ross, but Wheeler, too. I wonder how often Ross and Nichols might "but heads" and if and how Ross will put him in his place (I'm quite sure he'll have to at some point). I'd be also intersting to see how different Wheeler's perception of Ross is compared to Nichols. Now, what I really want them is to do a "crossover" ep with all 4 detectives, so we get the sense oft that being one show. Ok, I need to stop now. I'm so curious, it'll be awfully hard to survive until I get the new eps... LOL. You're welcome AL.
