If you are interested in buying this movie checkout Ebay. I bought one for $22.50 @ "buy now", two weeks ago. It looks brand new and plays great. I keep getting alerts that he has more.( I got one again today) I don't know how many are left so you might want to do a search soon.

I just read about this movie, but isn't it only on tape? I would like both Guy and Hotel in DVD. Got any idea how I can find them in that format? I have seen almost all of VDO's work but not these two, so I am interested in getting them.

It could be a pirated DVD, so caveat emptor.
HOTEL PARADISE is a very odd chapter in D'Onofrio's career. It's not quite soft porn, not quite Harlequin romance, not quite black comedy, not quite erotic thriller. So, it's a mess of something that doesn't quite add up to anything. But it's watchable in a weird way, it's relatively short (about a half hour--it's one of several episodes), and Mr. D'Onofrio spends the film wearing only a strategically placed sheet, if that's the sort of thing you like (g)

It's been a long time since I have seen the movie. I liked it, not because of the soft porn, sure VDO is cute in it. He does have nice shoulders. but because it was so odd. There is a theory that when a murder occurs that the energy from that moment in time gets locked and keep replaying that last scene of a person(s) life over and over again. I saw the naked stranger and the bride as ghosts. Remember how he kept looking at the watch on the bed. I feel that they were locked in time.

Techguy--I wasn't going to mention the snake, but you're right that it also serves some service as strategic placement. I admire Mr. D'Onofrio for his willingness to allow that snake crawl all over him.
For a seemingly shy guy, Mr. D'Onofrio has not been reluctant to show his body on film.
Patcat (who confesses she doesn't mind the latter. Yea, I admire his talent, but there are other things I can admire.)

it is not really creepy at all - it is, as PatCat said, very hard to categorize -but well enough done for what it is.
I liked it.
