You know, I like the idea of LAW AND ORDER ALIEN UNIT. NBC/Universal could multipurpose it everywhere. NBC, then USA, then SCI Fi. It really could be on all the time on some cable channel!

Patcat Yeah, but you forget, it will inevitably and constantly get compared to the X-Files. And X-Files will win every time. Then it'll just look like an X-Files clone, with the three geeky sidekicks, and the UST even more than CI has, and the guest spot on the Simpsons . . . that's it, we need to start writing scripts for this thing right away. |

this is getting OT, but...LOAU wouldn't look for aliens and monsters and try to prove they exist. The detectives know they exist. What they're looking for are criminals from other planets who're trying to hide out or escapt to earth. H-m-m. May be to much like MEN IN BLACK.
Patcat (although this would allow Dick Wolf to reach out to other planets. He is running out of places to market all the L&O shows on earth.)
