A very well done episode. I was pulled in at the beginning and stayed that way until the end. The boy who played the primary child who was brainwashed into murder did a fantastic job.
I'm very impressed with how the writers are introducing personal information on the characters without going overboard. In this episode we learn about Connie's Mexican roots, see an ex boyfriend and other info that propels the case and adds to the storyline. A nice balance that doesn't deter from the crime story. Also the little bit about Anita's medical marijuana and her reluctance to use it to help her nausea "I'm a sworn police offer!!" was perfect. A shame that NYS hasn't legalized its use for chemo sufferers. What is wrong with us?

I really liked this episode too and liked the personal information we have been seeing in this and previous episodes. However, the medical marijuana storyline got a bit preachy and out of character in my opinion. I cannot see Lt. VanBuren after being so opposed to using it at all deciding to use it at work where someone can smell it on her and report her to the Chief. Also, the Chief's reaction seemed totally wrong for a Chief of Police. BTW...I too am totally for the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes and think NY should definitely get on the bandwagon.
