Mrs. T and I decided to do something creative with our own bonus air miles and will be in Las Vegas for a few days this week. We're there for the NHL Awards and a special event the night before. With 2 notorious party animals like AO and JR joining forces, I can only imagine the night will be wild and wacky.
Mrs. T is trying to decide how to conform to the dress code DRESS TO IMPRESS, and not-so-secretly hoping to catch some singing, dancing and cavorting around the hotel pool action. I will report on all the ensuing shenanigans and festivities when we return, hopefully with some money in our pockets and our sanity. I make no such promises or hopes for our dignity. ;D
Due to this scheduling conflict, my comments and poll for the June 22 CI episode will have to wait until then too, unless someone else wants to put up the poll.

Alas no fun in the sun this time. This trip was spent almost entirely indoors between the NHL awards, the LAVO party and the assorted casinos. Surprisingly, Mrs. T and I came back with more money than we started, thanks to her luck at the roulette wheel and mine at the poker tables.
The entire experience was awesome; I haven't seen so many hockey stars in one place in ages. Mrs. T and I didn't even have to crash the party, we were in no problem. We met up with a few of her fellow blog mates and had a blast. Ovie and JR were fabulous hosts; JR's wife Tracy is a delight. We might have to make this an annual event along with going to DC for home Caps games. If we go to Vegas next year we'll try Pedro's.
One further note while I'm on the subject of hockey, especially because the vast majority of this site's members are female. Cammi Granato (1998 Olympic gold medalist), the heart and soul of USA women's hockey, and her Canadian counterpart Angela James (4-time world champion), are the first women elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place at the HOF in Toronto in November. Congratulations to these 2 pioneering hockey women; the recognition of the contributions of women to the sport is long overdue. Mrs. T wants to go to the ceremony if we can scedule it in with an Eastern swing to some Caps games. I've been to the HOF but that was ages ago so a return visit would be great.

No time for Cirque du Soleil in Vegas. However, Mrs. T and I are going to a wedding in Seattle over the Fourth of July weekend. We'll try to catch the Cirque show Kooza if time permits and if we can get some specially priced discount tickets.
