Contains spoilers for missing scenes: While thinking about "Untethered" for EOTW, I remembered some scenes in that ep that aren't shown anymore. 1. There is one in a restaurant in which Frank gives Bobby their mom's engagement ring. 2. In the end, Bobby finds some drug paraphernalia in Frank's appartment and tells Frank that if he was on a bridge he would listen for the splash. There are some "missing" scenes in "Purgatory" too. 1. Eames and Daniels walk into a psychologist's office and find her having sex with a suspect. Eames quips "Catch you at a bad time?" 2. In the bullpen, between Eames finding out Bobby is undercover and her big blow-up, Eames asks Ross "Where is Goren?" These scenes are in my I-Tunes versions, but aren't included when the shows are aired on USA, BRAVO, etc. Is it a time thing? The episodes needed to be shortened? Can anyone think of others that I've missed? I hate to think that I've missed ANY LOCI! I love the deleted scenes on my season 2 DVDs! I wish they all had them. Were those scenes in the actual season 2 shows when they aired or were they just gathered off the cutting room floor? I'm just curious!

A few episodes from season 7 went slightly over an hr when first aired and then later cut when repeated to fit in the typical hour. One episode featuring Wheeler and Logan was seen without commercial interruption and included a whole sub story of Wheeler and her father that was totally cut when later shown. Season 7 was the fist season shown on USA and then they were glad to have it and treated it with great respect, all of which has seemed to have evaporated by season 9. I have also noticed that when syndicated on other stations they have cut some of the show to cram in more commercials.

Thanks Idget! I was a casual LOCI viewer until "Purgatory" which caught me hook line and sinker! I've been "obsessed" ever since. What a difference between seasons 7 and 9. That honeymoon didn't last long, did it? I have noticed the slicing and dicing to fit in more commercials too. hrmmmph. Some of the cutest (IMO) scenes were missing last time I watched: * "The Gift" when Eames says "Morning sickness, I'm just getting used to it" * "Scared Crazy" when Bobby makes espresso for Alex and steadily pours sugar in her cup for 3 seconds. (That's true, another LOCI fan actually timed it!) * "Brother's Keeper" when Frank asks Bobby "Is that your wife?" and the camera goes to Alex sitting in the SVU with a sign in the background that says "YOUR HEART". Thank goodness for DVDs and I-Tunes! I'll have to look for the longer Logan/Wheeler ep. too. I also agree with Jeffan that actor commentary throughout different scenes would be really fun on the LOCI DVD sets. (Sherlock thread). Any idea when season 6 will be released? Guess I'll have to keep watching the chopped up eps for now!

Sherlock has actor commentary? Hmmm. I've been recently thinking about buying the DVDs, but I'm hesitant since there's only three episodes. How good are the commentaries?

I think the extras for SHERLOCK are great and worth the price of the DVDs.

They are great Patcat.
Yes, Angua, worth buying the DVDs and you can get a good deal at Amazon. The co-creators/writers and two main actors talk the viewers through the making of each episode interspersed with some really funny anecdotes. There is also the pilot episode which is good to compare with the final version.
There is to be a second series.

My problem with iTunes is that they have the edited version of Playing Dead which aired on NBC. There are two scenes missing - the one where Camille tells Neil that Stacy is in the bath and he knows there is only one thing that can help her (or something like that). And then, when she tells him later that he went too far - "You always go too far." she says.
Irritating! I am waiting for the DVD release of S6-9 - yeah, I will buy S9 so I can see the epis I missed, and to have Loyalty on DVD. I have it on my computer, from Amazon, but it's different when you can watch it on a bigger screen...
