The cast for "The Consoler" is up on IMDB but no mention of the new captain Jay O. Sanders. Or Robyn the psychiatrist (and if she doesn't appear in the first episode then she will only have 7 episodes in which to solve all of Bobby's problems. Wow she must be good!) Maybe the cast list is incomplete? www.imdb.com/title/tt1848164/It is so exciting to see "Season 10"!

Some more episode information - I liked Neal McDonough in Band of Brothers. ----- Law & Order: Criminal Intent is poised to go out with a bang as it lines up guest stars for its 10th and final season, which premieres May 1. Neal McDonough, for one, will be appearing on the USA Network series, TVLine has learned exclusively. In an episode titled “The Consoler,” the alum of such shows as Boomtown and Desperate Housewives will play a Monsignor who does very good things for the Church, starting soup kitchens, orphanages, cancer wards and what not. Alas, behind closed doors he does bad things with the women of his parish. Also guesting on one of Law & Order: CI‘s final eight episodes is Jeri Ryan, as a former CIA official who has started a private security company worth hundreds of millions. This no-nonsense businesswoman also is harboring a secret. www.tvline.com/2011/03/law-order-criminal-intent-neal-mcdonough-jeri-ryan/

I read that the actor Jay O Sanders is the new captain of Major Case and was a friend of Goren's at the Academy. I saw him in the promo where they are coming out of the elevator together. You may remember him from season 2's "Dead" as the contract killer who had ice cream next to the frozen body and tore up the entire garage looking for a tooth that wasn't there!
He is also probably the voice in the current promo that makes the insane comment to which Goren responds "There is that!"

From DaemonsTV -- promo clip and pics included:This episode of Law and Order: CI “The Consoler” was intended to be the first episode of this final season but USA changed the schedule and put the “Rispetto” episode instead. “The Consoler” is the real first time where Bobby comes back in action and boy, does he bring it home in this episode. I saw an advance copy of the episode and it’s going to be pure CI awesomness.
Episode Synopsis: Goren and Eames must determine if a banker was murdered or committed suicide. They discover the bank’s only client is the Catholic Church and dig into a scandal and cover-up linked to the murder. Catch the premiere of “The Consoler” guest-starring Neal McDonough, Sunday, May 8 at 9/8C!
