From Darkness To Light - yeah, I've done that one! Anywho, yes the table kicking is from All In. All of the epi clips are from previous seasons. Looks like mostly S8, except for the opener, which comes from Frame. The cross on the wall - most likely from Family Values. Let's hope they now flood the airwaves with promos. Our show deserves it!!!

My thanks to OBC. The cross on the door scene, "Faithfully?"

Moonbeam, I'm going to have to go back and watch the promo again! Could be Faithfully also...
Oh, what a hardship...having to watch it again...LOL! *G*

The clip where the detectives are walking across the hall and into a bedroom is from Family Values, after they find the mother dead. They go looking for the daughter, and then find her bedroom empty.

Aw, crud. I thought some of the promo was new. Clearly, I need to pay more attention to S8 episodes when they're rerun... what about the scene where Alex and Bobby are walking across the squad room and she says "You can thank me later?" Thanks to everyone who identified the scenes.

When I saw the clip the sentence "order will be restored" reminded me David Caruso CSI Miami one liners.

"You can thank me later" comes from Loyalty - where Bobby gets suspended but does not have to go for a psyche eval. It was apparently Alex who went to bat for him on that one.

When I saw the clip the sentence "order will be restored" reminded me David Caruso CSI Miami one liners. It is a good catch-phrase to promote a new season and I agree it does have the Caruso(ian) sameness.

I'm going with "Family Values." It's not a cross on the door. It's a six panel door. I have them and I'm not a big fan of them. They're dust magnets. I use a small paint brush to remove the dust from the corners.

Oh yes...those six panel doors. Pain in the butt! We have them too.
I also like the "order will be restored" catch phrase. It not only brings part of the name into the promo, it also denotes that things that were turned upside down will be righted again. That "victory lap" that Wachtel is talking about.

Yes, as I wrote the “order will be restored” is a good catch-phrase but hype is hype no matter how it’s spun. The “victory lap” is also a great slogan for the return of Goren - oh, and the “intelligent closure”. Isn’t marketing indubitable especially when it suits your own particular preferences!?
USA’s brand of “blue skies” became fluff - but is now conveniently defunct. USA’s new build-up blurb of “sizzling, sexy episodes of murder and provocative themes” - makes me prefer the so-called “fluff”! Would you believe it - nah - same as I don’t believe marketing machinations even when buying shampoo!
Nevertheless, I’ll reserve judgement until after Season Ten and, as posters know from my episode reviews, I’ve enjoyed the Goren as much as the Nichol’s episodes.

When did "blue skies" become defunct? That if anything calls for a victory lap! As for "sizzling and sexy" I find the whole idea of murders being sexy simply bizzare and disturbing, as I'm sure Bobby Goren would too.

Elle magazine's "Women in Hollywood" issue - I think it was February's - profiled the woman in charge of USA and lauded the blue skies concept.
Knowing how shoddily CI was treated by USA, it made me want to scream.
I just really need a true victory lap and then I can write USA off since CI was the only thing I've been watching on it...

C'mon now. Who among us wouldn't (honestly) welcome a little sex and sizzle from Bobby Goren? ;-)
