I may have to use the ASP bat on myself, but here's a few from me.
I don't think Bobby has ever completely dealt with his issues with his mother's schizophrenia. While he nobly took on the role of caregiver for her at a terribly young age, I suspect Bobby must have a great deal of anger and resentment about this. He's also clearly angry about what appears to be his abandonment by the man he thought was his father, and what appears to have been both of his parents' favoring of Frank. I suspect Bobby has PTSD from events in his childhood, from his time in the Army, and his work for the NYPD.
Frankly, I'd be more worried if he wasn't seeing a psychiatrist.

My issue is how DW said things hanging from season one. I'm thinking, what's hanging? I thought they covered things in seasons 5, 6 and 7.
So you're saying we're going to revisit the mommy and daddy issues etc. Let's not forget MFB! I get that for the new and casual viewers. So where's the entertainment and surprise in that? I'm not disagreeing with you. I get where you're coming from. I just have questions about how much more they can heap on the poor guy. Are the so called surprises good or bad?

They better not be bad, I can't take any more of that, lol. I keep hanging my hopes on "surprising but entertaining." Entertaining, I would hope, rules out bad surprises. The only area that's never fully been explored is Goren's personal/dating life. And that would go back to Season 1. I've been thinking that maybe we'll hear about one significant romantic relationship in Goren's past. I mean, Goren's got to be close to 50 or so, right? We had Nicole ask him in POI why he hadn't married. Maybe we'll hear about someone who broke his heart years ago or something like that. FWIW.

I'm thinking the exact same things Moonbeam. Often I find that interviews and promos build something up and then when the big "surprise" is revealed it is a let down. Like, "Oh, that's IT?" ?? And really, after the DNA test proved MFB was his biological dad, what else COULD they come up with? Unless he had a secret lovechild with Nicole! (Joking!)
I'm just hoping he works thru the baggage that we know about, like what Patcat said above, instead of giving him another outrageous issue.

AAACCKK!!! AAACKKK!!! Brain bleach, brain bleach, please! Is this because of my suggestion of exploring a past romantic relationship, skittles? ;D I think some insight into his romantic past would be interesting; it doesn't need to be anything soapy or major. Just a discussion maybe about how one of his relationships went south because he was too involved with his job, or his mother was making too many demands...or because he was really in love with Eames.. That last part was for you skittles!

Thanks Buddy! His past relationships would be an interesting topic. I can see him discussing his personal life and why he can't let someone get close to him. We have seen him close up like a clam when Eames has tried to talk to him as a friend. I'm thinking about "War at Home" when the elevator doors literally and symbolically shut in her face. In an early season we learn that he "missed his chance" with Irene. Season 4 had a lot of subtext about his loneliness; but that is another discussion.....

Well if they are going to talk about his past relationships there is also Lola who he swallowed pet dander for and Denise the Chief of D's personal assistant. I always imagined that was one reason why the Chief disliked Goren so much he was able to score with her and the Chief couldn't get to first base!
