Just curious... Did anyone here participate in the VDO tweet session last night? I recognized some names of shippers and folks from LiveJournal. I don't use twitter so I wasn't there. There are some interesting Q & As and he seemed to be enjoying it! Link is to the VINNIE VIDI VICI Blog.

My question didn't make the cut. Boo! I asked if he was happy with the sendoff Goren got in Loyalty - ie., being fired. Oh well. He says he might do more!

I asked the question about Kyra Sedgwick which he answered! I had a couple of other questions, but since it was also my first twitter experience also (YIKES!) I didn't always do what I needed to do to get my questions received and I was freaking out ( to put it mildly!) ;D. The question I really wished he could have answered was the one I tried to ask about starting this season's episodes "in medias res" without any explanation of how they returned to the squad. If they schedule another session with Vincent or Katherine I'll try and give it a go!

Patcat: You are welcome! Hey Leonore- At least you tried! My question didn't make the cut. Boo! I asked if he was happy with the sendoff Goren got in Loyalty - ie., being fired. Oh well. He says he might do more! I would have loved to have heard his "unrehearsed" answer to that! In his USA "farewell" interview last year he said something like he was happy/satisfied with Loyalty and thought it was a good ending for his character. I remember thinking whaaaaa..... Did he really mean that? I try to take articles and interviews with a grain of salt. (and a slice of lime and a shot of tequila...)

Did someone say tequila? I'm really interested if he thought Goren should have been fired. That irks me, especially since I was watching an SVU rerun last night waiting for the CI premiere and Stabler was drowning a perp. And yet...still employed, lol.

SVU could probably get away with murder. Usually that is just an expression.

Was anyone else surprised by his favorite author choice? Dickens? Really?

If you are doubtful by writing “really”, I’m not surprised that Charles Dickens is his favourite author.
In an interview (here) Vincent stated that Alec Guiness is one of his favourite actors. He is a highly respected character actor who has played roles in both Great Expectations and Oliver Twist. Maybe, Vincent has been led to Dickens by watching these films. I know I’ve done that and it’s not unusual. I’m currently reading The Crimson Petal and the White because I’ve just watched this on television but never read the book. Highly recommended.
Of course, I’m speculating about Vincent and Dickens but what’s not to like about this timeless author? Nonetheless, I think understand what you mean.

Thanks for sharing. I can't believe he's a Yankees and Jets fan. Loved the George Gerkie response.

Dickens writes big, sweeping stories that deal with the issues of hia day. Aside from his heroes, who are often pale and one dimensional, Dickens' characters are also big and sweeping. (The exception being the noble and tragic Sydney Carton of A TALE OF TWO CITIES, maybe my favorite hero in literature after my beloved Holmes.) I can see Mr. D'Onofrio loving Dickens for his characters alone. And Dickens was an actor.

I think a lot of fans could relate to Miss Havisham, hanging around in a wedding dress waiting for VDO to come for them.
