Ratings are in for C.I. premiere on NBC: 5.2 million, 1.1/3 . Seems compareable with the debut of the season on USA at 5.1 million viewers, good to see it get some decent numbers on the network that dumped it! Full ratings for ABC, CBS,FOX, & The CW at Zap2it.com courtesy of TheReelBlog.

Is it airing at 9 on Monday on USA? (See, I watch NBC so little I don't even know when my favorite show is on.)

I watched it on Monday night on NBC at 9 p.m. it was followed by a new episode of L&O:LA I didn't bother watching LoLa, not interested. We also get C.I. here in Canada on CTV on Sundays, they started it at 8 p.m then the next week at 7 p.m. than last sunday at 8 p.m. This coming Sunday it settles in at 9 p.m. for the final five shows. CTV is as weird as NBC, always thought they were owned by the same morons!

Good to see the national numbers were up. Our local NBC affiliate preempted LOCI for the annual Indy 500 victory dinner...yawn. I love the race and all the traditions surrounding it, but the victory dinner is a little way old school for me. Three hours of quips, sidebars and doling out of money...now thats compelling TV.

Moonbeam; Do you live in Indiana? That race drives me crazy.

Patcat, I live in Greenwood. That's why, when you were looking for a new job, I sent you the job listing in the Daily Journal and suggested the job openings at Angie's List. We've met. We were at the Key Cinema on South Keystone watching "Thumbsucker" what 5-6 years ago? My user name back then was Summerfield. I introduced myself.
I enjoy the race. It's one of those events you must experience at least once. This year's was great. Best one in a long time. I haven't been in years, but I watch it every year. We travel outside the blackout area to view it live.
I went back to the "Thumbsucker" thread and it was in October of 2005. You told me you lived 5 minutes from the theater and I told you I went to Jr. High 5 minutes from the theater. When I was in high school, that area was part of my stomping grounds. Went to school with a lot of kids living in the area.

Moonbeam do you mean they black out the race in Indianapolis if it is not a sold out race like they do pro football games? Thats hardly fair since Indy racing is a national if not international sport.

Now I remember you! And I really need to thank you for the Angie's List suggestion, as that where I'm working now!
And the 500 is always blacked out in the Indy area and shown later that evening. I've been to the track once for practice. Been there. Done that.

Congrats on the job! Do I get a finder's fee? A very good friend of mine works there. And idget, the Hulman/George family want those seats filled. Half a million people bring lots of moola. And since were talking ratings, the race on ABC drew 4.3 and the Nascar race drew 3.3.

Monday's (June 6, 2010) NBC broadcast of LOCI ("The Consoler") averaged 4.52 million for the hour. As a lead-in it delivered for the late LOLA, which well exceeded the 6 million mark in viewers.
Final numbers are not yet available for individual cable shows aired on Sunday, June 5th but, overall, USA Network had a better-than-recent night. Let's hope "Trophy Wine" contributed conspicuously to the jump.

FYI -- K-Q, et. al. -- the boasting point for USA Network is that LOCI was the top commercial scripted cable show for the week.
While there usually isn't a significant difference, the final final totals for any show -- broadcast or cable -- include three days of DVR playback. In the case of "Trophy Wife" adjustments for DVR viewing could tip LOCI into the 4 million+ region. (We can hope).
3.909 million -- not bad, not terrific. It will interesting to see what the cumes will be over the next two weeks for USA Network's two darlings -- "White Collar" and "Current Affairs."
AL
P.S. And don't forget that advertisers (dumbly) see 18-49 yrs. as the critical measure. One of the "problems" -- though not to me -- of the bias toward age is that LOCI has a substantial audience of Baby Boomers. Baby Boomers (who are all over 50 now) comprise the largest age demographic group (about 78 million) in the U.S. at this time.

This excerpt from Variety today might[/i] be a sign that USA is aware of the importance of CI and its lead characters/actors:[/color] USA senior veep of original scripted programming Bill McGoldrick notes that the return of Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe (as detectives Goren and Eames) to "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" delivered "great ratings."
"I don't think people flocked back to the show because they thought there was a crime they'd never seen before," McGoldrick says. "The energy and enthusiasm came from these two people they remember, know and trust coming back, and seeing what they're up to. That's essential for any of these shows -- a character that's memorable and unique, who you want to spend time with."

Gee it only took them what 2 yrs to figure out that Goren and Eames were memorable and unique characters that couldn't be replaced!

You'd think a network that advertises itself as "character approved" and "character driven" would be trying to hang onto some of the most recognized characters on television.
