I will miss them so much! Thank you is not enough for these two actors. They really are magical. Every time I see their show I feel that good, humane and hard work is precious. I really will miss them. (And I love VDO of course!)

I already miss Goren and Eames: Non ti dimenticherò...
Ever since I heard that we would be getting these 8 precious episodes I tried to prepare myself that it would indeed be the end. USA has broken my heart once and I was not going to let them do it to me again. But still I hope.
I too am extremely grateful for the gift of 8 more angst-free episodes with Goren and Eames. However, unless and until I hear otherwise from USA, I will regard the video as a SEASON wrap, not a series wrap.

Rene Balcer, the developer and original showrunner of LOCI, has been in touch with me about the last day on set. Here's what he had to say:
Hi, Hope all's well with you. I just wanted to tell you that I was on the set last night, for the last scene of of the show and it was like old home week. As you probably know, Jean De Segonzac who directed the very first CI also directed this episode, and a lot of the people, about 80%, who were there on that first day in February 2001 were there last night, still working on the show (I actually worked on this episode -- along with doing a full rewrite, I did a walk-on in the last scene, coming out of a building just behind Vincent and walking off into the sunset).
Vincent and Katie were just great, both in very high spirits during these last 8 episodes. Many in the crew, and maybe among the cast, were keeping their fingers crossed for some kind of second life for the show...well, you never know. But the sets for the show were being torn down starting today, and the stages at Chelsea Piers are being taken over by the new CBS show "The Rookies". So if the show ever does come back, it would look somewhat different...
He goes on to say that he'll be spending this summer in Cambodia where he'll be visiting the Frances Goren Library (which was built with the help of LOCI fans) -- and that he'll send photos. And when he does, I'll post them.
Within the L&O universe, Rene Balcer invented the world of Detectives Goren and Eames. His scripts and stories put words and ideas to page. Without his vision and talent there would have been no Bobby Goren, no LOCI.
If you're as grateful as I am to Mr. Balcer, please take some time (and words) of your own to thank him, right here. I'm sure he'll be reading them.
AL--I got that email too, and was so moved and thrilled that I didn't know how to respond. Goren and Eames have gotten me through some bad times. Both brilliant and wonderful creations, and I'm very grateful to Mr. Balcer for creating them. And I'm happy that his work was acknowledged in these gestures.
