I don't know if this question gets asked all the time or not, but I've looked in the obvious places on the board and have not seen it, so here goes. I was wondering of someone could please explain to me how you do that thing where someone else's post or part of it comes up in a little box. At the moment I'm stuck using the "old school" method, which gets the point across but is not as elegant.
Help?

In the top right cover of a post is the "quote" button. Just hit that, instead of the "reply" button. Delete any portion of the quoted post you don't want appearing in your reply.

" Delete any portion of the quoted post you don't want appearing in your reply. Got it! Thanks, that's been frustrating.

In the top right cover of a post is the "quote" button. Just hit that, instead of the "reply" button. Okay. That was obvious. I feel slightly silly, but enlightened. Thank you!

There is no need to feel silly.

Hey, don't feel bad. I had to call for a question on my cell phone, and the very nice, very young sounding tech guy told me what button to push (g). He managed to make me feel not too stupid.
