I'm on my brother's computer and I can't see the glow. He uses mozilla. However my work and home computer both use internet explorer and I see it at work but not at home.

Bummer ... no glow for my Safari brower either - but I do see the green color and the larger font size. Oh well - too bad - I really liked the glow AND shadow effect !

Sarahlee, the font size button is the A with the up and down arrow. If you click on it you will get size=2 in [ ] and a /size in [ ]. The default value for the fonts is 2 so if you replace the 2 with a 3, you will get a larger font--it comes up boldface too for some reason--for any text placed in between the size and /size [ ]. For a smaller font use size=1.
If you really want to get creative, you can also change the font face (the red A to the right of the font size button). If you click on it you will get Verdana= in [ ] and /font in [ ]. Replace Verdana with another font, such as I do here with Arial, and any text in between the font= and /font will be in the selected font.

It looks like this thread is the Internet equivalent of a playground sandbox!
BTW, excellent Sarahlee--you figured it out yourself. In case anyone else is looks in and wonders WTF, I'll clue them in. In order for your font change to work you had to name it correctly, not just roman but times new roman. Plus, you had to put in the end bracket ] to close the font command. This is critical--whenever you see a post with gibberish commands, it's because the poster neglected either the open bracket [ or close bracket ] at the start or at the end with the / stop command.

This thread was useful. I can add glow, url links and get font stuff to work and apply it to my workplace and look cool and with it technologically-speaking.
thanks. ;D

[shadow=red,left,300]LATER, I'VE GOT SOME WORK TO DO...[/shadow] Ooh, blurry. Is there any way to get the glow within a line, rather than seperately?

Member727, I don't know why words and text that are glow highlighted "jump" to the next line. Maybe it's an aritifact of how Proboards is set up, but I don't know why it happens. If the admin/mods have a better answer, I'm sure they will respond.
