I have to say I found this one confusing. If the lady is shot because she recognizes Pang, how does the old lady find out and have Maybry kill so quickly? And isn't Pang more or less replaceable?
I loved it at the end where Bobby uses the figures and mocks the woman and does that English accent.
Thoughts?

Been a long time since I've seen this one. I don't know how replaceable Pang was, wasn't he the one who smuggled the toy? Also, I thought the old lady was there in her car when the young woman started screaming that Pang was one of the killers at Tienanmen (sp?) Square.
What I can't fathom is killing someone over a toy, but I guess people have killed over more selfish reason in the real world.
I also really liked his finger wag and, "Don't you worry."

I didn't really like this one although Goren showed a lot of compassion for the murdered woman. It brought out a soft sid eto him. And of course there was that funny scene in the archivist's office when he almost broke everything accidentally on purpose!

I thought the old lady was there in her car when the young woman started screaming that Pang was one of the killers at Tienanmen (sp?) Square. what I remember, Pang and Gaston where being followed by Liam Montgomery, Lucille Mobrays right hand man. Lucille gave orders by cell phone to Liam to kill Annie Ming Littleton. Liam Montgomery got out of the country before he could be charged with her murder. Remember Lord Pembridge. His first big acting gig, and Goren and Eames mocked his English accent ;D

Thanks, guys. This show is hardly the Brady Bunch when it comes to simplicity.

Three things come to mind when thinking of this show: Fisrt, where Goren told the guy he "had two phone lines blinking, a drink of his desk, his tie loosened, and chewing the insides of his cheeks like a frantic chipmunk. Did you lose something? Second, was when Eames said "The Chinese will be happy to get this back, it's one of a kind", and Goren responded "Annie Littleton was one of a kind". Third, the adorable little girl actress when she said in her whisper " Mommy's sleeping now".

Ok, because I'm fluent in Chinese myself, I think I'm qualified to laugh at Goren for this one. His conversation with John Littleton and Lucille is just hilarious, well, to me. Whenever my mom and I hear him saying a word in the "so-called-mandrin" chinese, we just laugh our butts off. My mom's a native mandrin speaker, and she still can't understand half of the Chinese words that Goren was saying. Still, gotta give d'Onofrio credit for trying. His accent's cute.

No wonder one of the characters in "Proud Flesh" says Goren "speaks Chinese like a dog!"

ok, maybe not that bad. But bad enough. Goren said to Lucille, "I've read about the emperial ceramic factory in *!@#%% (A mumble of nonsense). I couldn't understand what the heck he was saying, my mom told me that it's a place called "Jing De Zhen" (Mandrin spelling). In Chinese, it's a word containing three characters, each one has a single syllable. Goren? Well, at least he pronounced the first character right. The other two? Sorry, no hit. But that's still not bad, for a westerner, one out of three is actually pretty good. As for the "Fapichi Soren", to this day my mom and I still haven't figure out what they meant to say. Judging by the English translation, the closest I can come up with is "Fa Pi Qi Sha Ren" (five Chinese characters, five syllables, meaning "getting mad and kill people", not very close to "angry murderer", which is what it's supposed to mean, but then again, this is just one of those things that no one actually understands or pays attention to. Nevertheless, it's still very entertaining, I'm still laughing.

Welcome to the board Eléana. It's funny, what they think they can get away with, but there is always someone that catches the shortcuts. I never watch war movies with the mister anymore, he know if the piping on the uniforms is the wrong color. madger

Thank you madger. Today is my first day here. I must make a confession, I registered and deleted my account 3 times so I can register at exactly 12am today, that is, june 6,2006, or 6/6/06, get it(same day as the Omen coming to air)? Funny thing is, I'm also taking my driver's license test today at 1o am. Too bad they don't put date of issue on the license in CA, otherwise I would have the scariest driver's license. lol

I'm a spanish speaker and I won´t tell you the face I put when I hear english speakers pronouncing a spanish last name, like saying 'Soures' instead of 'Suarez'. It´s funny but not ridiculous, I really appreciate the effort when they speak a foreign language, it is not an easy thing to do, especially in public. They can´t have a vocal coach for every language like if they were born in the country, they play cops, not spies. Even someone like Goren would speak a lousy german after spending a few months in Germany, everybody would, and the same happens with chinese. I´m still shocked about someone knowing the swahili form for 'midwife'. I must say that my english is funny, my italian is a joke and my french deserves its own place at the comedy channel. And welcome, Eleana.

Spnaiard, yes, that is very true. There's always an accent if it's not your native language. My Italian is a pass, but I think I should be on comedy channel with you for the way I speak French. By the way, I passed by driver's test. Muhahahaha *evil laugh*, and on my temporary license, it actually says "ISSUED: 06-06-06". Scary... LOL. Well, clear the road, cuz I'm driving!
