I find this an interesting show with some unusual effects. However, I also like ER, so tonight I recorded Without a Trace only to find that I didn't set the ending time quite right and missed the end.
This ep is about the blind girl and her life-skills instructor, both of whom are kidnapped while on a life-skills camping trip. My tape kicked off before the life-skills instructor was found and before there was an explanation as to the purpose of the kidnap - other than,of course, just a sexual thing.
I was thinking that the life-skills instructor arranged a phony kidnap in order to demonstrate to the blind girl what it takes (and that she had it) to survive even though blind.
Long discourse comes to an end: Did anyone see this show, and , if so, would you let me know how it ended. In the meantime, I'll try to polish up my VCR recording skills. Thanks.

Tonight I watched "Without A Trace" and recorded "ER". I missed a few minutes (there is a digital channel in our area called "Mystery" which repeats the episode, 3 times, on Sundays and I plan to catch the full version). I don't know how much you missed, so here goes. Let me know if you need more details or if I've given too many! It was a real kidnapping. Louisa, the life skills instructor, wasn't supposed to be part of it. She came back to help Kelly and was also taken. Louisa had taken Kelly to the restaurant in the early days of the life-training lessons. She'd bumped into Trent and had been extremely nice with him. He'd even planned to ask her out the next time she came in to the restaurant. When she did come in, with Louisa's brother, on the afternoon of the kidnapping she didn't even know who he was! Trent 'got talked into' this *thing* by Lot(?) the other guy from the restaurant as a means of teaching Kelly a *lesson*. They could do whatever they wanted with her and not worry about the consequences because she was a "cripple" and couldn't id them! Danny and Martin had a "chat" with Trent and got some information. Vivian and Sam took Kelly out to the general area of where she was found. Kelly was able to 'lead the way'. Louisa was alright, except for her broken leg. 'Lot' was shot down by one of the FBI agents. Danny and Martin talked to Trent without his lawyer, even though he asked for one. They both got there heads chewed off at the end by Vivian. Martin and Sam went off to finish what they'd started earlier. ;D Jack came to the office as Vivian was putting a plaque, and other things, in what is now her office. The final shot was of Jack looking into the office. We'll have to wait until next week to find out what job belongs to who (or should that be whom?) ETA: My list of don't miss shows isn't too big! WAT has been on that list since the beginning.

Thank you so much. Won't it be interesting to see how the writers handle Vivian, Jack, and the job.
If you miss your ER rerun, let me know, and I'll fill you in on that.

I enjoy this show very much. The one episode, I don't remember what it was called, a boy was being picked on by his female classmated, and they met him at some kind of bar - made him strip and took a buch of pictures of him after beating him up. In the end the boy was found hanging in someone's backyard.
It was a long time ago, so I probably have some things mixed up, but that episode was very sad. My mother even called me and said it made her cry.

Stephanie, the episode is called Wannabe. A truly powerful episode that I've seen many times. Eric went to his lead tormentor house to commit suicide. Luckily, Danny and Jack were able to cut him down in time. I remember that CBS ran a PSA for the suicide prevention hot-line right after the episode. Anyone watch last night's episode, Off the Tracks? Really enjoyed the opening scene with Danny and Jack. I must say that Enrique Murciano was absolutely fabulous in the way his emotions slowly built up during the course of the investigation. And I'm glad Martin broke up with Sam.

I think Without a trace is brilliant, sometimes it can be repetitive but I really like the variation on the crime genre and detective shows.

It usually is brilliant. However, last week's episode was 60 minutes of my life which I'll never get back.

My favourite is Martin. And I like the Martin and Danny interactions the best. I first tuned into this show because I was a fan of Eric Close from the days of Dark Skies, The Magnificent Seven and Now and Again. Stupid CBS for not giving the last one a chance.

I Anthony LaPaglia. ;D Trisha: I stealing your beating heart and dumping it in my photobucket. I'm getting a bit better with the techy-thing. Techguy's earlier braggadociao about deleted post is intriguing me.
