Forget about a female Boomer, what's up with Silon Boomer? It's tantamount to sacrilege! I am actually a fan of the female Starbuck -- always a sucker for a strong female character. It was a little shocking at first, though, because I hadn't read anything about the show before seeing it. Apparently there was quite a lot of cursing and crusading on the SciFi boards before the show was released as a mini-series last year (when I first saw it). Perhaps to boost interest in the series remake, SciFi channel recently ran a lot of BG reruns. It was torture to watch, but for some reason I couldn't change the channel. Although I was just a tot when the show was popular, I was a big fan. Do you by any chance remember the name of the robot dog? I remember desperately wanting one for Christmas, but never getting it. Hum, maybe we need a Galactica thread, too ;D BTW, congrats on 2nd Grade! Nevermind Cylon Boomer, I'm trying to get used to Baltar's little friend! I remember reading some of the outrage on the SciFi boards about Starbuck. Nothing about Boomer, though. Boxey's little dog was named Muffet, or something like that! Interestingly enough, I came across a tape with the two-parter Lost Planet of the Gods a few weeks ago. That's the one where Apollo and Serena were engaged... I'll see if I can find it again and double check the dog's name for you. Sorry you didn't get one for Christmas! You know, I'd purchase the BG DVD set if it wasn't for the fact that is costs around $80 (before taxes). This is quite reasonable though, if you compare to the various Star Trek sets or the Babylon 5 sets, which are about $130-$160 each. I would love to have the B5 sets, but the prices are way too unreasonable. I saw the DVD for the mini-series today. That was $26. I may buy that the next time I'm in the store. I never saw the complete version shown by Space and caught the trimmed down version on NBC. I'm sure I missed quite a lot. And thanks...I didn't even realize that I'd been promoted.

Yes, I think the dog was moffet - all in the same ballpark.
I adored Apollo - I don't get the scifi channel - is their new Apollo as steady & handsome and dependable?
Wow - a female Starbuck ... is she a player too? Are they still racing towards earth? Fill a cableless person in, will ya?

RH is going to be in this weekend's episode. I think that we were supposed to get it last week, but I don't know what happened. Which is all right I suppose, as I was busy with "life" all last weekend and forgot all things TV. I guess I should start taping things, eh?! ETA: The drone replacement for Boxey's daggit was officially known as Muffit II

Thanks for the name And, yes, the episode with Hatch did air for us last week. It was good to see him again I don't know if I'll start taping it, unless you want me to, Metella. You'd be approximately 4 episodes behind if you missed the mini-series, but it may air again over the summer when they rerun the series, and I could get it for you then. Nikki, about Baltar's little friend ... does it also annoy you that she's almost always half naked? And that no one seems to notice when Baltar is looking at her as she speaks and his expressions change?

And that no one seems to notice when Baltar is looking at her as she speaks and his expressions change? Not just the change in his expressions, but also the sounds that must be emanating from Baltar's general area when he's in own little world. Maybe they all think these little quirks are what makes for a genius! I was reading the description of tomorrow/Sunday's episode Bastille Day. So... Apollo is going to take Apollo hostage, eh!? Sounds interesting. ;D

well, pleasant to the eye, but not as handsome as Richard Hatch. ~20 years older and he's still the more handsome one!

I just got the DVD for the miniseries that launched this series after reading and hearing so much about the show. Is anyone still watching this series?

Okay, so recently I referred to this show as a "crapfest" but now I can't get the latest storyline out of my head.
Who is Leoben Conoy really? What is his agenda? Why are there never more than one of him at a time (that we know of)? Why is he NEVER present at any of the cylon meetings? What does he want with Starbuck? Is that kid really his, and if it is, why don't the others seem to give two craps about her when they're so obsessed with Hera?
I had to go out and get the episode "Flesh & Bone" where Starbuck interrogates and tortures Leoben to remember all the crazy-ass shit he said to her about them having a destiny. WoW. I'm starting to wonder if he really thinks that he does have a soul and that he's been more truthful with her than not. BUT, this is still the same evil, psychologically astute, manipulative, double talking Leoben Conoy that screwed around with Adama's head at the munitions dump.
Or is it?
Maybe his consciousness was lost due to the radiation and never made it back for download. That Leoben may have actually died, bringing the other Leoben's a true sense of mortality and reasons to ponder their existence ... a spiritual awakening!!!
Is anyone else still watching?
