Has anyone ever seen this? It's Canadian and is like Law and Order meets Crossing Jordan. Dominic Da Vinci is a coroner. Poor Da Vinci doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut or his nose out of the cops' and cities' affairs, and always gets the short end of the stick because of it. He has been passed over twice for promotions. This show can be hard for some to to take because the storyline isn't always over at the end of the hour- it may contine days, weeks, months, or even years later. It also has its fair share of dirty cops, particularly, Daniel, the dirty vice cop. It's filmed entirely on location in British Columbia, Canada.

The show and Dominic Da Vinci are based on the life of former cop and B.C.'s Chief Coroner, Larry Campbell. He is now also the former mayor of Vancouver (he chose not to re-run and has subsequently been appointed to the Senate) The CBC just started showing the eighth season of this critically claimed and multi-award winning show (about 30 or so awards) . It's now known as "Da Vinci's City Hall" and he is now Mayor Da Vinci. I think that Nicholas Campbell is just great. I've read that the show is doing well in syndication South of the border.

Da Vinci is now mayor??!! Go Dom!!! Did they ever put Daniel out of his misery? Whatever happened to Sue? We are just seeing shows from 2004 where Daniel set up Sue and Da Vinci is after a dirty mayor. We must be seeing season 6 or 7 now. I have seen some from 1999 too. I think the show is on DVD, so, I think the DVDs will answer my questions. I think only season 1 is avialable though... Thanks Nikki! ;D

I'm seeing the CBC cancelled Da Vinci's City Hall and is getting flack for it. Maybe the fans can rally and save it. I wish they'd put all of DVI on DVD! As far as I know, they only pit out season 1 and won't out no more out because DVI is getting a base in the USA. Now I'm gonna have DVI tapes hanging out with my 500 million L&0 tapes!!

How many episodes aired before it was cancelled? I wonder if they will air on WGN next fall since D. Inquest has performed well on WGN.
I am looking forward to seeing Cold Case Squad and Stone Undercover (Tom Stone) on WGN next fall.

Apparently the final episode is going to be airing next Tuesday (February 28). That would make it episode #9. www.davinciscityhall.com/

I've seen bits and pieces. I swear it's on 3 or 4 different networks in the course of a day or night. It has an interesting filming technique. Long shots, reminds me a little of "Homocide: Life on the Streets". I found it interesting, just don't watch it cuz I have my fill of cop shows.

I read where WGN may get the rights to the new series Da Vinci's City Hall since it did air all episodes of Da Vinci's Inquest. "Q: Will Superstation WGN air new "Da Vinci's Inquest" episodes? A: We don't know at this time. Program Partners, which distributes "Da Vinci's Inquest" throughout the U.S., is in negotiations with the series to distribute the eighth (and final) season (also known as "Da Vinci's City Hall")." source : www.wgnsuperstation.com at the Da Vinci's Inquest site.
