This is apropos of nothing but the only intersting award show is the grammies. The between-the-speeches entertainment is really good for instance, last years tribute to Ray Charles was some of the best performances I have ever heard or seen.
Trust me, the upcoming Academy awards will be full of boring.
but I'll probably still watch...

Trust me, the upcoming Academy awards will be full of boring. As Det. Goren said about the paintings at Garcia House in "See Me," the Academy Awards are full of...something.

But Jon Stewart is hosting! I'm not sure how he'll do, but for him I'll watch. I don't think I've seen any movies nominated for anything.

I love award shows! They are good opportunities for me to hear the real voices of so many people I know from TV and from movies. Well, in Germany, the real voices are dubbed. And award shows are good to improve my English. But one thing is not so good: the time difference to Germany! Staying awake the whole night can be hard.
