After watching the pilot last night on Itunes, I am glad that most of the powers that be of L&O:CI don't want to do "soap opera"
I will really be surprised if this show makes it to May. I never thought Trial By Jury was as good as SVU or CI but sometimes it was as good as the original has been in recent years and it certainly was much better than Conviction.
I was really disappointed that Alex Cabot only had as much screen time as Arthur Branch of the original. If she is not used more than she was in the pilot, I don't think many of the SVU viewers will stay on board. Most of those viewers will probably watch Monk or Numbers.

Considering NBC was so quick to cancel TBoD, I'm not wasting any more of my Friday time with them. I think I'll just stick with "Numb3rs" (instead of catching the episodes on Sundays on Mystery).

Again this week, Conviction had a bad showing in the ratings. I still haven't seen it, and would like to, but I fear NUTS'll pull it from the schedule before I get a chance.

I'm not impressed. I think I liked Trial By Jury better, and it wasn't that good. I hope its just me and not Mr. Wolf losing his touch.

The pilot had around 9 million viewers plus those viewers who were able to download the episode from itunes. The second week, the second episode was not available for free download so the only way viewers could see the show was by watching it on TV. The second week it only had around 7 million viewers and it faced the very same competition : Numbers and 20/20. Some reviewers said it was like Boston Legal. I say that is insulting to Boston Legal. At least I can tell Danny Crane and Alan Shore apart.

I watched the pilot episode and after that didn't bother coming back to try it again. I'm working my way through college with the end goal being a job as a prosecutor. I thought maybe it was my own knowledge of the area that was clouding my opinion of 'Conviction' (people refuse to watch 'Boondock Saints' with me because I nit-pick it). I'm glad I wasn't just being close-minded about 'Conviction' and others had a problem with it too.

I saw a commercial recently for Friday's episode, (I think). Deals with Deaf people so I will watch it just to see how they deal with this. SVU did a great job a couple years ago with an interrigation scene, using a truly deaf man and dealing professionally with the use of the interpreter.

I think this series has promise as well, but just to help it along, I think they should have some of the actors from the est law & order's do some guest starring. We all know NBC has a nack for not giving new shows a chance.

Well NBC has scheduled the season finale (2 parter) so this show has survived season 1.

It's good to hear their giving it more of a chance then they did TBJ, though I think that Jerry Orbach's death is what drove the last nail into the coffin of that show.
