I really like this series. It used to air on A&E but now it airs on Sundays on The Biography Channel. New episodes have been airing in the last few weeks.
Has anyone else watched this series?

Yes filmnoir...it is filmed in some of the villages near where i was brought up as a child,so i enjoy recognising them! I am watching the episodes following Troy's departure. I miss Troy but I am giving the new guy a chance. However, I read where after 2 series with Troy's first replacement that another guy comes on board in the current season airing in the UK. Have you seen these episodes? Is "Troy's second replacement" good? Hopefully I will get to see these by next year. It will probably be awhile since I don't think all of the new series episodes have aired in the UK.

I like this show too but I'm only able to watch it sporadically. Are you saying that the character Troy is still around but another actor is playing the same part?
If so I don't know if I like that. Why not have a new face = a new character? It would keep the story fresh

Daniel Casey left the show around series 6. His character was promoted and Inspector Barnaby was given a new partner who lasted with Barnaby for 2 series and now I have read where Barnaby will have a new partner in the current series that is still airing in the UK. The first 8 series are airing on The Biography Channel. It has just been recent that viewers have been treated to new episodes from series 7 and 8.
I am anxious to see series 9 just to see how the next partner works out. I like Barnaby the best so I can tolerate cast changes as long as John Nettles stays with this wonderful series.

The Biography Channel is running the most current episodes (some aired in the UK in March 2006) of this enjoyable show on Sundays.

I have seen all of Morse and Cracker since they both aired on A&E. I am purchasing Touch of Frost episodes as they are released. However, there is another show that I saw a few episodes of in the late 1990s, Dalziel and Pascoe. None of the cable channels (BBCA, A&E, Biography, or PBS) have aired this show in the last 5 years nor have they been released on DVD in the USA.
I enjoyed the recent episodes of Frost and Midsomer as much as the earlier episodes. These shows have really stood the test of time.

Thank you for your information about Dalziel and Pascoe. I hope that since it is being released on DVD for the first time in the UK that the US on a region 1 player can not be far behind.
I like Prime Suspect also. I hope they make another one sometime. I have every one on DVD.
I also like Wire In The Blood and Waking The Dead and am looking forward to watching both in the fall or winter on BBCAmerica. I would recommend Wire In The Blood to anyone who likes L&O:CI.
If you read about any other UK mysteries that you like please post the information on one of these "TV Talk" threads. I have learned about several new shows this way.

New episodes will start airing on Biography in November and continuing through December. Many of these episodes just aired a month or so ago in the UK.

I am very pleased that Biography Channel is airing episodes of this very good mystery series that have just aired in the UK. In fact according to epguides, it looks like BIO is up to date and waiting of for UK to air some more episodes.
This series runs almost every Sunday with older episodes airing in the afternoon. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys the L&O shows especially CI.
I read where the next episodes will be longer than 2 hours so I hope they still show them on BIO and show them intact like they do with Hustle on AMC.
