I've just gotten into this show a few years ago & now have seasons 1, 3, & 6 on DVD. I was just wondering if anyone else liked it?

We enjoyed the show, its on around 5 pm on a cable channel. every now and then I see a bit o it. There was one show about circus people and one of them had a parasitic twin. At the end Mulder was standing in profile. I forget what was exactly said. but Oh how I laughed that had to be one of my favorite episodes

Yes, I do!!! Used to watch it all the time. Now it's on the Sci-Fi channel...right before Stargate SG-1...so I can watch both.
God, I've got to get a life!!!

I need to get one too LOL, I never miss an airing (even if I own the particular season they're showing... kinda like CI).
I can't remember what the name of the 'circus freaks' episode was, I think it was the guy that drove nails into his nose that commented about how the future looks when he noticed Mulder standing there. I also found it funny.
I like the X-Files because it has a lot of dry, dark humor (thanks to Mulder)... the kind where most people nervously smile because they aren't sure if they should laugh or not. ;D

Yeah, the humor is really good. The only one's I DON'T like watching are the one's with bugs. Have you seen the Christmas one? Where they're in this old house with ghosts? It's great!!!

deb>> Yeah, I have season 6 on DVD, I lve when the woman ghost says 'I don't show my hole to just anyone, you know' & Mulder disgustedly replies w/ 'then why are you showing it to me?' That always gets a laugh out of me. Also Scully's (fainting) reaction to seeing the ghosts' 'holes' was hilarious! & also Mulder asking her if she's scared, she reluctantly says that she is but it's in 'irrational fear' LOL.
It's Mulder's dry wisecracks & Scully's reactions (or lack their of) that make the show endearing. IMO

I was a diehard XPhile back in the 90s. Still can't put anything against this show and tell me it's brilliant...except for CI, of course.
I have tons of stuff on Tape...but the DVDs are too expensive. I really don't like David Duchovny anymore, since he left the show before the end. He really thought he was more than Mulder. Guess what bud, you're not!
I still love Gillian Anderson though. Anyone hear/see anything about what she's doing now/going to do next?

Well I was (& still am) kind of miffed at DD for bailing out on the show & Chris after Chris practically MADE his career for him with that show! I still didnt get why he left with only one more season to go, unless he didnt think Chris was going to end it. I never liked DD as a person (though he is a spokesperson for the ASPCA so he cant be all bad) but i DID (& still do) like Mulder as a CHARACTER.
I kind of liked that he left, it prooved to the show's critics as well as the fans that it wasn't the 'Mulder' show & that X-Files could stand on its own. There were some good eps in season 9 (Deamonicus, Audery Pauly 'the brady bunch episode').

I like that two years ago. Almost went mad over DD's exit. It's funny, just a month ago, after the AP test, we had nothing to do in AP chem, so our teacher brought in the movie "Evolution", starring David Duchovny and Julianne Moore. I was laughing pretty hard, and said, well, if this was two years, I'd jump and kiss my teacher for the movie, but now I'm just simply not into DD anymore. On the other hand, some thing like Full Metal Jacket would probably get me firing off the roof.

I just read an interview with DD (Parade, I think) where he says that a new X movie is in the works. All the cast is signed on, and they are looking at scripts. Hope that means Skinner is taking a break from Stargate.
My favourite X-ie was "Skinner". (Sighs and looks distracted again) Those starched white shirts and those wrists! I am a weird woman.
