I was wondering if anybody else would like to discuss it. What did you think of Bebe Neuwirth's character (loved her), A. Sciorra in the first episode ... why do you think (aesthetically) the series failed? Too many women characters, maybe? I have been enjoying this truncated series greatly--well worth the $20 DVD on half.com.

I liked it and I have the DVD set since it was on sale at Amazon during one of their 20 buck for each L&O sales.
If CI is canceled, I would have rather seen this L&O still on the air next year for me to enjoy over the mothership. I always thought they should have let TBJ replace the mothership and even incorporated the current veterans of the mothership into roles on TBJ. TBJ would have been a better consolation prize for me to watch next season over the mothership if they still keep the current 2 new mothership cast members next season. If this happens I feel very sorry for Balcer if he has to write for those 2 after writing for the likes of Goren, Eames, Logan and even Bishop for crying out loud. I sure would have preferred to see Amy Carlson of TBJ on the mothership as the new ADA to Jack McCoy over the current actress who joined this season.

mmm what about Bebe Neuwirth and Sam Waterston alternating every week like on CI? I like that idea. However, I actually do like Alana De La Garza's character over Kelly Gaffney

I really liked Bebe Neuwirth's character. She would make a nice replacement for Carver, I feel like.
On the woman lawyers--I am totally hating on early Clare Kincaid right now. What do you think it is? It's completely irrational.
