Hi, Techguy,
I’m sure that scene was not in Collective. If it was in a CI ep, I think it would have to have been a first season episode – I’m pretty sure I know the eps from the other seasons well enough to eliminate them. The thing is, I can’t visualize the detectives in the scene, so, as Nikki said, it may not even be a CI episode. I’ve gone over the list of first season eps, and I can’t place it in any of them. I have a feeling it was probably an SVU episode that I saw a couple of years ago. The emotional state of the victim would fit with the typical style of SVU more than with the typical style of CI. The only CI ep I can think of that might fit would be the one with the plastic surgeon... The Good Doctor? He was such a control freak... but I can’t remember that ep well enough to know if the scene could have been in it.

The episode is definitely from SVU. The guest star--the guy who put the girl in the box--was Andrew McCarthy.

And just when I thought I could rely on my memory to be helpful...! If the ep asked about is anything other than CI it's way out of my league.
I guess the coffin and crypt theme in "Collective" provided more confusion rather than enlightenment. I did go back to review my tape, and the scene I remembered was the one where Det. Goren and Eames go to a hotel room to find the woman who set up the killing of the collector in the opening scene. She's in a coffin box, already dead, killed by Dorian to frame the other members of the crypt club. Oh well...

The USA board sure is small. It doesn't seem worth joining yet.

Hmmm. The CI board I saw has only about 5 threads. Am I looking at the wrong area?
