Just saw a blurb on the cable network BRAVO stating that the network would show 4 episodes of LOCI beginning at 10 EST on Sunday.
Was I hallucinating or is this the case?

I hate to tell you this, Sirenna, but I think this is only in the US and not on Bravo Canada. Sorry for spoiling things for you. I take it that CI is not yet in syndication in the Toronto area? Strange. They are already into the second season out here. "Anti-thesis" is on right now.

:-(
Oh well, bravo Canada is still a good channel.
We do have LO:ci on CTV out here but as to whether it is in syndication; that I don't know. I've seen a couple of repeats but I think it's what on all the main channels.
You BCers; you always have to be one step ahead...

Do you know if VDO has ever been on "Inside the Actor's Studio"? I bet he would give that pompous windbag a run for the money.

I saw an interview (I believe with the science fiction/fantasy film magazine CINEFANTASTIQUE) in which Mr. D'Onofrio said he didn't believe that James Lipton ("the pompous windbag" (g)) like him.
And I bet Lipton doesn't, because, as you wrote, he's a "pompous windbag" and Mr. D'Onofrio doesn't deal well with those. It's too bad, though, because Mr. D'Onofrio speaks intelligently and practically about his work as an actor.

Lipton seems to be a bit 'star-struck' these days, anyway. If you haven't been huge box office or gotten your name in the tabloids a few dozen times, he doesn't seem interested. I have nothing against Jennifer Lopez per se, but he had her on to talk about her 'craft' and won't ask for Vincent D'Onofrio? Sorry, but Lipton is an idiot. I think he is a poor interviewer, too. IMHO (g)

The early episodes of INSIDE THE ACTOR'S STUDIO were frequently terrific. These included interviews with writers like Neil Simon and Stephen Sondheim, and even today there's occasionally a gem such as the one with Martin Sheen. When Lipton has an intelligent, thoughtful guest on, the interviews can be illuminating.
But I think Lipton has gotten a big head, and it gets in the way of the interviews. And you're absolutely right that in recent years the stars have been flashy--and while I admire and like Elton John and Billy Joel I really don't know what they're doing on this program.

I liked Kevin Spacey's, tap dancing and doing impersonation's. I guess it depends on the guest as to how interesting it is. Lipton is always a bit too "kiss ass" for my liking.
