Did anyone else catch this at the end of tonight's repeat?
"One crime, two detectives"
WTF? Have Eames and Berek been demoted? Or gone off together on vacation, leaving Goren and Logan to manage on their own?
No. NBC just doesn't consider them worth mentioning.
It's one crime, four detectives.

I'm glad you mentioned this, Observer. I noticed it too. So typical of NBC to skew things in their promos. I've gotten good at ignoring their "spin" on the episodes, because they so often bear little resemblance to the stories told. Still, this was a major faux pas.
Nonetheless, I'm soooooo looking forward to next Sunday!

Maybe because I'm deliriously tired but Observer just made me laugh like a loon with her WTF comment. She's not the only one who had that kind of reaction. I yelled at the tv "There's 4 detectives you assh*les!!!" Follwed by "Why the beep are they spotlighting Logan more than Goren?"
Yes, I admit it, I'm a passionate Logan hater! So is it just me or did they focus A LOT on Noth in this preview?

Didn't see the preview, but the schmucks. They've always tended to downplay Eames in the ads, and Chris Noth joining the cast has been the big hype. There are some people who maintain that Logan was the best part of Mothership and his leaving the show was a "Jump the Shark" moment (10 years ago!). I am not one of those people, but the reviews and TV spots seem designed to draw more viewers. "Hey, it's Mikey/Mr. Big! He's cool, not quirky like the big guy! Please stay away from 'Desperate Housewives'! Watch our show!"
No, I'm not saying that Noth/Balcer/Wolf/whoever is responsible, but that is the impression I get.

I'm not crazy about the Logan episodes yet, but I have to say that I do like the way Chris Noth has dealt with the situation. In every interview I've read or seen he's talked about being grateful to revisit the character and how difficult Mr. D'Onofrio's job was and is. Certainly on the TODAY show the two actors looked very comfortable with each other. And Mr. D'Onofrio has gone out of his way, I think, to say nice things about Mr. Noth.
I agree that the ads criminally ignore Ms. Erbe and Ms. Sciorra, but I strongly doubt anyone with the show had anything to do with them.

Hi everyone! This is my first post so please bare with me. I have been a CI fan from the beginning, but as of late it seems that the show only has a male presence. It is rather disappointing as I think Ms. Erbe can hold her own. I am not so sure of Ms. Sciorra as I have not seen her in many movies. I think the ad robs viewers of seeing the true aspect of the show - Goren and Eames.

Well, someone must have realized the error of their ways.
I just saw a promo for it during the "Medium" marathon. It ends with a voice-over which now states "four detectives, on one incredible case" (all the while a still of all four is being shown).

Don't worry, Duet, you haven't missed anything. The two-hour episode will air next Sunday, from 9-11. There's a synopsis of the plot over in the "November episodes" thread of the Future Episodes topic. The show will feature all FOUR of our Major Case Squad detectives.

I'll have to check my tape of the Medium marathon (had other things to do Monday evening). Where in the marathon did the ad run? I'm really pleased they made the change... or at least have two versions of the ad, with at least one of them acknowledging all four.

I saw two different ones. The one I previously mentioned is during the first hour. There is another version during the second episode where it states "one case, two teams of detectives".
Unfortunately, I dozed off during the third one (I've been sick with a cold for a few days) and don't know if they showed any more. And I don't recall exactly where the promos were placed. I believe the first one is about 15 minutes into the episode.
ETA: Duet, I just checked the CTV site. They don't have it listed for this Sunday. They are showing an episode of SVU instead. I hope you get an NBC affiliate station, because the CTV site isn't updated. And knowing them, who knows when they'll get around to doing that!

Ooooo! For all of us Star Trek fans, Colm Meaney is a guest star! I think they should just let the girls go out to play; let Eames and Barek solve the crime. The guys can go shoot some hoops...(LOL)
