I just read this on www.zap2it.com "FOX took over at 9 p.m. with the elimination of Kevin Covais from "Idol," 15.8/23, and the debut of "Unan1mous," 9.5/14 (ratings for the latter may come down some as "Idol" ran a couple minutes past 9:30). ABC moved up to second with a new "Lost," 9.6/14. "Criminal Minds," 7.7/11, was third for CBS, while NBC's "Law & Order," 6.3/9, took a hit in its new, earlier timeslot. "Veronica Mars" kept UPN in front of The WB, which went with a "Gilmore Girls" repeat." I hope NBC switches L&O back to 10 p.m. I often wonder if the reason that L&O:Original and L&O:SVU have higher ratings than L&O:CI is due to airing in the 10 p.m. hour where they only face two network shows and L&O:CI faces 4 network shows plus HBO and even Mystery/Masterpiece Theatre.

Well, Mothership is moving back to its old timeslot. ETA: I like Heist, especially the banter between Mickey and James (not Jim, Jimmy or Jimbo!). Loved the car chase in the second episode.

Did anyone see the previews for the next couple of shows? They said L&O was going to make "L&O history". The commercial seemed to hint they were going to kill McCoy! *NM now in panic mode*

Oh lord, Techguy, that is just so...awful! Is it a bad thing that I let out a gasp of amused horror?
Gotta pull for Carver.

Good grief, Charlie Brown! (Ahem, I mean, Techguy). ;D You'll find me in McCoy's corner.

McCoy? Yuck. I mean, that whole scenario is just not pretty, but at least Carver has a voice!
How sad is it we're discussing this like it's an actual issue?

It's hard to imagine my prime time life without Mothership, I hope that I never have to but as the saying goes... all good things must end. I just hope that they allow Dick Wolf to make it go out with a bang.

Well if anyone has the season 3 DVD set. Eric Bogosian is in 2 episodes : Night and Fog & Conspiracy. Both episode teleplays were written by Rene Balcer and Michael Chernuchin and aired during the "Mike Logan years" I would recommend watching TNT but TNT has not been showing many of the episodes of the nineties.

The episode that featured Dennis Farina's replacement, Milena Govich will air on August 11, 2006 at 10 p.m. Eastern. She plays a character named Geneva.

I missed the first half of the episode last Friday, so I didn't see any of Detective Beauty Queen. I don't dislike the new ADA (except for "You have a stupid tie." Oh please, are we going to be stooping to poopypants next?). We'll see, but the whole retooling, character emphasis...I'm worried. And how exactly was Jack's daughter involved?

Even though I only saw my taped copy yesterday, I'm a little fuzzy due to a head cold.
Since a police officer was shot, Van Buren was there at the crime scene. The Lt. does not appreciate being made to give the position of Green's partner to someone who is so very 'green' and inexperienced. She had already chosen a more experienced officer to replace the now retired Fontana. First exchange:
Van Buren talking to Green about Cassidy... "I talked to her captain. He was cagey. Not very complimentary". Cassidy, who has come up right behind her... "Well, you know what they say, the better you are, the more trash they talk".
The Lt. told Det. Beauty Queen to just watch and learn. She was only allowed into the interrogation with the getaway driver (he took the 8 year deal) because she knew him and his late sister. Cassidy appears to have moved up a slight notch in Van Buren's eyes as she lets Cassidy go with Green to arrest Justin Smolka.
Jack McCoy's name was mentioned in a gossip column. Apparently the star couple had been together 9 years, "which is the same amount of time the prosecutor hasn't spoken to his daughter". After that mention, the photographer apparently stalked his daughter and took pictures at a club. That was basically it, except for McCoy receiving the picture envelope at the end, which he threw into his bottom drawer, unopened.
I kind of like Cassidy; don't know how I feel about the new ADA though. I miss Claire Kincaid.
