Bubbler Weekly Southeastern Wisconsin business people make it happen. Thursday, January 8, 2009 'Monk' TV star returns to Wisconsin Tony Shalhoub, Green Bay native and the star of the hit television series "Monk," will join others in cutting the ribbon for the new $6 million RDI Studio complex in Milwaukee today (Thursday, Jan. 8) at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public. The investment, located at 2525 E. Crawford Ave., is a result of the growing film, television and video gaming presence happening in Wisconsin as a result of the Film Wisconsin tax incentive legislation that took effect Jan. 1, 2008. Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton, Film Wisconsin director Scott Robbe and Visit Milwaukee president Doug Neilson, also will be at the ribbon cutting, and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker are tentatively scheduled to appear as well. Shalhoub will also be returning to his home state in February to begin shooting a new feature film, "Feed the Fish." About three weeks of principal photography will take place in Door County. The film is directed by Michael Matzdorff and produced by Alison Abrohams and Nick Langholff. www.biztimes.com/bubbler/2009/1/8/

Just a reminder that new episodes of MONK start tonight on USA at 9 (EST).
Mr. Shalhoub is apparently taking the high ground in interviews concerning MONK's ending, saying the show has been a great experience and eight years is more than enough.
