I love this promo. Nichols munching away with that little grin. So cute. I think viewers will find our new Detective rather charming.

The chemistry between Wheeler and Nichols in that two minute promo is more enjoyable to watch than any Wheeler episode of the past seasons.
Will the Wheeler character finally come into existence?

Wheeler: "Don't you want to take a look at the crime scene?" Nichols: "Looks like somebody stabbed him and stole his wallet." I cracked up on Sunday night when I first saw this during the season opener. Maybe this season Wheeler's sense of humor will show up a little more while she tries to deal with her quippy new partner.

Maybe this season Wheeler's sense of humor will show up a little more while she tries to deal with her quippy new partner. Nah, this gets back to the great good sense of your earlier Falacci post, OBC. Okay, it wouldn't be a crack pairing like Steed and Mrs Peel, but it would carry water . Wheeler, be gone. Too few scripted dramas out there to waste space on a vacant character. BTW, I must say, OBC, that you are in rare form this ep! I don't even need to see the wretched thing - your full-length synopsis/review ran wonderfully well projected in my head. Not that the ep seems to be a winner. From other quarters the thing seems to run the dreck-to-boring spectrum. And it's a reshuffled season lead, and boy does this bode ill (and boy will it look peculiar) for reasons mentioned elsewhere. Hey, like AL I thought Walon and Nooch were going to more or less write the G/E stuff . Seems less is the operative word. What's with the C-Lister trekkie? She a mentoring project? Last year we had the self-indulgent Actor's Workshop version of LOCI, with everyone getting in touch with their inner Stella Adler. So this season is going to be the Writer's Workshop, with protegees gettiing try-outs? I have two words for everyone connected with the G/E show: Three and Million. As noexcuses said, no excuses.

Thanks for those kind words, DB! A Falacci/Nichols pairing would have been so much fun to watch.
