I've just submitted my A vote.
This episode delivered in introducing Zach Nichols.
The writers need to get their act together with stronger storylines.

Thank you for all the points you have made Jefferaldo. Duly stored.
I do like the "Starring Jeff Goldblum" in golden letters you have in your...I don't know what you call it!
I must clarify my statement that there were no stand-out scenes in RS as opposed to PD.
I should have added "visual". The cemetary scene in PD was both visual and emotive. The scene in RS in which Nichols explains the music stuff to make the mother feel better was emotive, but did not have the visual impact as in PD.

I will disagree here and second what Jefferaldo wrote. I think CI, if it really is a lot about "intent", will necessarily have a long teaser to show us some of the intent or some of the life that the victim leads. Some episode, like "Crazy", "Semi-Professional", "Best Defense" or "Seizure" have great teasers. I could come up with more, but those came to mind instantly.
Whalon Green even said in an interview, that we're gonna see the killer in the teaser again. I curious whether that will prove to be true.

I Gave it A+, But now I'd give A. Here's why: I agree with Jeffan on this. The show is only 43 minutes long, and well like I previously said, it’s not enough long for us to Appreciate the presence of the Detectives. I, for sure would be really thrilled to learn more about the Detectives’ backgrounds. Of course I know the show isn’t just about the Main characters, but also about those Victims and Villains making this show Special to my eyes. The Storyline wasn’t quite enough good to leave myself sitting on the edge of my seat. I already had a good idea on who was the Killer, and so on! I wasn’t really impressed either with Wheeler. I don’t know if I’m alone thinking this, but I felt her quite absent! I had the impression that Zack was alone leading this investigation…It’s like if the connection between Nichols and Wheeler was quasi inexistent… As for Captain Ross, I love his character. Very heavy and present! I really had the feeling that he was getting on my nerves! And that is a good sign lol I will certainly watch the Next Episode with Bobby and Eames. I want to see if the Show could have a different point of view with those two other Detectives. Rock Star wasn’t the best Storyline, but I did Enjoy Zack’s quirkiness on screen, and his funny delivering of Special Lines. Also his choice of clothes is awesome. I mean, yes that is Jeff Goldblum and I was expecting him to be dressed like all the other Detectives in the show. But I was quite amazed to see him going at the Loft with that Worn out Hoodie I’d easily find at a second hand clothing store in New York. He Probably didn’t buy it there, but we could tell he’s been having this Hoodie since a while. Usually I’d find this weird on someone else, but On Zack Nichols I’ve found it Stylish! Also as I previously mentioned, the New Black Trench Coat he wore near the end before catching the Bono Alike guy, was a very good choice of clothing! You’re going to say “ Oh you thought he was sexy with that Black trench coat” Yes, I thought he was sexy in it. Let’s face it, Columbo wouldn’t really fit the Black trench coat… But I did enjoy this Black Trench Coat, because If I had been one of the criminal on Rock Star, the fact that I’d have seen Zack Nichols with that Trench Coat would’ve sent me quivering like an earthquake! Or maybe I wouldn’t be a good criminal. I’ve felt him quite threatening with the Black Trench coat! I don’t know if it was done purposely, but I know it has worked well for me! See what I mean?

I noted with a smile, whereas Goren carries a leather-bound folder for his documents, Nichols’ carried an artist’s type portfolio carrying case. Is this to signify that Goren is the scientific Sherlock and Nichols is the intuitive Freud in their approaches? Indulge me please as I do enjoy trying to spot those artefacts of symbolism! I was more struck by the contrast of the small notebook that Nichols pulled out of his jacket, to that of Goren's ever present leather binder. That was a little "Jones" moment for me! ;D

Okay...I gave it a B for the plot. "Killing 101," get rid of the murder weapon!

Vdofan1, I am LOL! ;D YEAH, me too!!! @zng I expect Nichols will be dressed differently in the future. I thought the "dress down" was a conscious choice because of where they investigated.
