Nice work on the poll, TG I give a B. It was entertaining, but nothing special.

Yes, great poll categories. You are so clever, TG. I gave it an A. Liked it alot, especially all of the Nichols info.

I gave it an A, too.
Hmmm another silent F... I thought they went away. This is disconcerting

I give it a solid 'B' - even though it didn't hold my interest as well as some of the other N/W episodes so far.

You know, I can't think of any LOCI episode I'd give an F. Maybe not even a D. I dislike THE VIEW FROM UP HERE (as most of you know), but I'd still give it a B-/C+ for it unusual setting and Goren's interview with the nannie.
But then, I've been told I have too big a heart (g).
And I don't know how people grade these. I've written before that I think the weakest of LOCI episodes is still better than the best of some shows. (LOCI has never had a chimp as the suspect, which even MONK did once...and THE MENTALIST). So, I tend to judge the show by its best and worst and not against other TV shows. How do other people do this?

Hey Patcat, I agree with you about comparing CI to other shows. Especially the two shows you mentioned, Monk and the Mentalist (both among my favourites) are so absolutely different from the storyline, the approach to both telling and solving the crime and last not least the whole acting of the main character, that I find it impossible to compare those. In general, there are hardly episodes at all I would rate lower than C (I am a friendly character, usually....), but I hated the first two Goren/Eames episodes. Goren still being my No 1, I found the first episodes with Nichols/Wheeler so much better, the interacting between the two (and I do not even like Wheeler. Never did.), the stories, the drive and freshness of Nichols compared to Goren, that I chose not to vote for the G/E episodes at all. I think it was fairly stupid to change the order of broadcasting. I liked "The glory that was", but I found it confusing that first we hear about Wheelers pregnancy and that her ex-fiancé was convicted to 12 years in prison and in this episode she is testifying for the first time and worrying about her job. Did not take away any fun in watching the story, though. That's why I gave it an A. I think Nichols is kind of "Gorenesque". And that is the highest compliment I have to give, currently
