I gave it an A for sheer entertainment value. I so enjoy Goldblum's facial expressions. And he and Wheeler are showing an improved rapport. The trust is increasing as she's gets used to her odd new partner.

Here's the thing: the perp of "Passion" was essentially the same character as the villian of "Folie a Deux." Different plot, same qualities.
Are all poets narcissistic plagarists -- and are they so prevalent in the L&O universe that two are featured in a space of one season?

My admittedly few experiences with poets indicates that not all are narcissistic plagiarists...narcissistic, yes, but not plagiarists (g).

My sentiments exactly, AL. Don't these two writing teams talk to each other?
Shame on the producers for allowing this.
Next we'll see that Wheeler's ex-fiance gets an early release, and while disguised as a woman, murders his former mob associate who was just about to get his own reality TV show.
Oh-- ...and tries to frame Wheeler by planting the gun in her fitness club locker's tampon stash.

Ooops.

AL I was waiting to watch the episode again before I voted and I got the chance Mon night/Tue am, USA had it on and right after they showed Folie A Deux and I immediately picked up on the similarities that Annabelleleigh so astutely had already picked up on. IMO Folie A Deux was a better written episode and a more compelling story. But I really like the interaction between Nichols and Wheeler in Passion, I think they are really showing some chemistry together so I gave it a B for that alone.

Or... The ex-fiance kills his former CIA contact with the full backing of the Bush administration. Ooops. Not exactly sure what you are trying to say here, Moonbeam. I was alluding to "Lady's Man' with my made-up plot. (We were talking about how "Passion" was similar to "Folie a deux.") Maybe this is an example of how viewers can miss seeing when the writer draws parallels and uses plot structures from other episodes...

I gave it a B...because I so enjoy the Nichols/Wheeler partnership and I'm ALWAYS down with a little Serious Poet mocking.
