To add comments about Nicole- If Nicole had received counseling for the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, she may very well have turned out differently. Just meeting a nice guy would not have cured her of her hatred for men. Meeting Bernard may have introduced Nicole to murder but, I think she would have discovered murder on her own eventually. I don't believe Bobby had hope for her, he is to smart and Nicole is to evil, I think a character like Bobby simply realizes good people do bad things just as evil people sometimes do good things. Nicole was a monster; she viewed her own 3 year old as a sexual rival. Through the history of the Nicole storyline there was never hope for her. As I recall the only good thing she did was save Gwen from her father and uncle.

Hey Lovebug I agree whole heartily that Nicole would need a counselors to help fix her, instead of just a Goren type of person entering her life. But had she had meet a Goren guy or gal that helped steer her in the right direction to counseling. I don't think she would have seen her 3 year old as a sexual rival, and I don't think the murder would have taken place. And I think she would have stayed cleared of the Bernard's of life. Nicole was changing, at least that is what the episode "Grow" seemed to be implying to me. She was trying. I think she wanted to please Goren, like a child wants to please a parent. She was looking for his approval.

Ha! Don't get me started on psycho-analyzing Nicole Wallace or I'll never shut up.
I agree with Cassie, it's like a child trying to please their parent. Possibly in her warped mind, Goren is not only her rival, but a father figure she wishes she could have had. It's all ready been stated that she was in love with Goren, so that in and of itself explains quite a bit.

I'm not sure Nicole was capable of what anyone else might call love, although she did do the right thing for Gwen.
At one point Goren suggests that he physically reminds Nicole of her father. Do you think he was right about that?

Do you think he was right about that? Patcat When I say "love" it's not the typical human interaction. It's her twisted, warped thing in her mind. I think it could very well be possible. It makes sense when you put all the pieces together.
