Law and Order : Criminal Intent - Episode 9.07 - Inhumane Society - Casting Call
[SAL BIANCHI] Male.... Early 50s. Tough-looking and fit. A former champion boxer in the late 1970’s, in his day he was known for his trademark liver punches, and most of his knock outs were TKOs. We now meet him as the owner of an old-school boxing gym. His primary focus is on training his protégé, Danny “the D-Train” Ford, to be the boxing world’s next best thing, although he has a small swarm of devoted “Bait”, gym rats who look up to Sal hoping to pursue a career in boxing. Disapproving of Danny’s thuggish friends, Sal aggressively shoos away any potential distractions that stand in Danny’s way of becoming a money-making champion, and will stop at nothing to keep Danny focused and under his complete control. GUEST LEAD
[DANNY FORD] Male. Mid 20s. African American. Lean and fit. A great boxing contender, known as Danny “the D-Train Ford”, he’s training to be the next big boxing champion. He shows great finesse and promise. After serving a few years at Rikers due to involvement in illegal dog fighting, he abandons his former thuggish Top Dog Crew, and embraces religion and a renewed dedication to boxing with the help of his trainer, the former champ, Sal Bianchi. The combination of his innate skills and accuracy, and Sal igniting his killer instinct, Danny is being pegged as the next great champion since his release from jail. GUEST LEAD
[AUSTIN DAVIS] Male. Mid 20s. African American. A member of the Top Dog Crew, Austin managed illegal dog fights with his thuggish friends, until undercover cops busted the operation and landed him and his buddy, Danny, in Rikers for a few years. Loyal to Danny, Austin is hurt when he blows off their friendship once out of jail, and is angry that Danny’s current trainer won’t consider giving him a cut of the money from Danny’s boxing success. Now on parole as a dock worker, Austin is set-up and accused of murder. And when he discovers who framed him, he’s out for blood. GUEST LEAD
