Playbill interviewd EB about his appearance in Time Stands Still--an ironic title given the recent CI cast upheaval.
This brief interview excerpt is very interesting:Playbill.com: How did this role come about? EB: ...I could do it — I had finished up my 60 episodes of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" — so I said, "Yeah." When I do the math: 22 episodes S6 + 22 episodes S7 + 16 episodes S8 = 60 episodes. That total implies ZERO episodes for S9, which further implies EB isn't in "Puntland" at all, which further implies...
But then we have this following interview excerpt:Playbill.com: So you're leaving "Law & Order"? EB: I am returned long enough to be departing, as are a couple other actors. That'll be in March, in a special, blockbuster episode.Departing? As in dearly departed? The plot thickens. Stay tuned.

Thanks, Techguy. As you say, we really can't be definite about anything based on EB's comments. I'm sure all of the cast and crew were ordered not to give anything away.
