It occurred to me this morning that I've watched LOCI for nearly a decade. That's longer, I regret to say, that many of my personal relationships have lasted, and Robert Goren and Alex Eames have been better friends to me than some people. 'Course, I haven't had to actually deal with Bobby and Alex going through what they've gone through (g). Still, they've helped me get through some tough times.
Just a random thought.

It's been shorter for me, but I know what you mean. These characters are practically family.

Ah, *sigh*, I still remember the first episode that came over here in 2004. ....I got addicted that same evening... ;D
And, sadly, Patcat, you are not alone in this, either: currently, I regret to having to admit it, NO friendship of mine of 2004 still exists - at least not with people living on the same continent as I do.... :-

Which one was it? That sounds like my experience with "House," I turned it on for some background noise and five mnutes later I was hooked.

The first episode, "One".....I had the VCR running because I was actually taping CSI. My daughter war only 2 years old at that time and I was a stay-home-mome, so we put her to bed late. After she went to bed I turned on the TV and remembered that CSI did not come anymore. Took a look on the VCR to find out what on earth I had taped, saw Vincent D'Onofrio (I had never heard the name before, but his eyes caught my attention somehow) and got curious. I loved the character from the first scene and taped every single episode since then to make sure I never missed one......

My relationship with CI and the show's characters has lasted almost as long as my marriage to Mrs. T. Almost. My life story is similar in many ways to Goren's, which is why I've been so vehement about what I've like and disliked about his personal story arc. And so I have a very keen interest in what will happen in the 2-part Season 9 premiere. "Loyalty" is indeed a much more appropriate title given the circumstances of life imitating art and vice versa.

Krisma, that's what it is!;D

I was 31 with preschoolers when CI started, and am now about to turn 40 with teenage boys. Over the years it ended up with all of us, inc my husband watching the show, although none of them were as addicted as me - possibly because none of them think Vincent is still a sexy man, who gets hotter and more talented with age.
