I don't know if this is a new title for a previously announced epsiode or something entirely new. However, "Broad Channel" is currently scheduled to debut on USA network April 12th. For those interested, a couple of publicity stills of Jeff Goldblum and Saffron Burrows. No program description is available as of this posting. AL ----------- Photo credits: Will Hart

Interesting title...Broad Channel is a small community located within the islands of Jamaica Bay in Queens, specifically Rulers Bar Hassock (spp?). Although it has been there for a very long time, most New Yorkers have probably never heard of it. It is surrounded by the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge which is part of Gateway National Recreation Area, run by the National Park Service. The wildlife refuge is a birdwatchers paradise as it is on the Atlantic flyway and birds stop over along their migration routes in the spring and fall. Knowing the show however, it probably has nothing to do with the community of Broad Channel.

Love the pics Annabelle and thanks for posting. Your description of Broad Channel is very interesting Rangerhm and I hope that some of the outside scenes in this episode are in that location. But, as you wrote, probably not - the title could relate to anything -

Thanks for the info on Broad Channel, ranger. I have heard of it, but wasn't sure exactly where it was in the five boroughs.
Murder ala Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds?" That would be interesting. ;D

Hope they don't nest in Jeff's hair! ;D ;D ;D ;D Patcat, even this born and bred New Yorker has learned some things about NYC from the various Law & Order shows. Only thing.......the shows present as if every night of the week there are multiple homicides. That's not really the case anymore, although it was more true. when the mothership first aired. As far as sex crimes and SVU, that might still be the case. Sadly.

I can proudly claim that I've been to Broad Channel A former neighbourhood priest of mine was transferred to Saint Virgilius parish in Broad Channel. I'd never heard of the place until then, but I went there to visit and it is quite an unusual locale. It is definitely worth a drive for any enquiring and inquisitive minds of local CI fans. And DonnaJo: call me a nerd, but I frequently Google the addresses on the title cards to see the locations of unfamiliar streets. In regards to the episode, it seems like USA is going to continue the procedure of publishing two clips from the upcoming episode on their YouTube page. SPOILERS as ususal.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCcWMG3Zk4&feature=player_embeddedwww.youtube.com/watch?v=qh3kE--4clw&feature=channel

WOW...it is Broad Channel, might be worth watching just for the scenery. You will notice that most of the houses are built on stilts. That is because most of them are above the high tide line and are prone to flooding especially during storms. Most people that live there have been flooded out at one point or another...they are a different breed those Broad Channelers!
